This was my first trip to Chernobyl, and thanks to guide Artyom, not my last, we visited a huge number of cool places, heard a lot of cool stories, I think we had time to watch almost everything in Pripyat and Chernobyl. Artem answered all questions, was polite when it was necessary to be strict, clearly explained where it could be dangerous, where it was best not to step, and where it was best not to go. Structured the route so that we barely crossed paths with the rest of the bands and took a bunch of cool photos with no extra people, for which I'm very grateful. I hope Artem will also be the guide on the next trip!)

I don't even know where to start...probably at the end, no review, no photo will convey the atmosphere of the zone, there needs to go, and immediately!!! For you'll want to go back, and the time for that is shorter and shorter... Why in order, the trip succeeded the second time...and great, if not (count lost first time prepayment). Why is that great? Because the first time we wanted to go for a one-day trip, and the second time we got to go for two days, because you can't watch there, I was two days short, let alone a one-day tour. So we're at Kids, the checkpoint passed without problems and two freaking days began, in which we never managed to "absorb" the real scale of the tea itself and the infrastructure, the scale of the arc rls and its provision, the scale of the investments, which has no idea how much it was worth to the economy and of course the scale of Soviet stupidity, to pour in such funds without calculating the "speed of progress" (that's me about the arc if anything). I don't think you need to write about the scale of the tragedy and the energy spent on the liquidation, you'll understand that when you see the "zone." Realizing the number of facilities available and the number of visits, sneers the almost irresistible desire to come again, which I personally will definitely do. The key to a good travel narrative is a good guide. We are lucky in this regard, Nikolai Nikolayevich is not the first decade in the zone, a stylish old man, but he looks very young, ..I thought it was suspicious at the time, but about that later .. At first we went to the "trivial" places of the zone, monuments and other "visitors' places" and finally we are at the teahouse, in front of us an arch, some historical stories and we go to the bridge to feed catfish, such entertainment would not be the first nuance, which I thought suspicious, one of the participants dropped personal belongings in the water, the guide went to get them, but the giant catfish clutched his hand and we could barely hold him, lest the fish drag him into the water. The bite was deep enough, but there was no blood parketically, and the guide continued the tour as if nothing had happened. Further down, the river port, the first flashing points ... and again the guide was acting a little strange, trying to stand as close as possible to these points as if charging from them, telling us the most interesting stories about the spot before the accident. In the end, we walked almost completely around Pripyat, and the tired went to the hotel. The second day started with a "stalker location," the silo was like "real," a bunch of scattered machinery and unrealistically green-salad moss. Then there was this incredibly atmospheric bridge, I can't remember where or where anymore, the only thing I remember is the guide's behavior, which was sort of trying to give (or duplicate) traffic light signals to the train, which of course wasn't there... Then we went to an abandoned village, where besides the owner of the zone, who with all her looks shows who is in charge, we met a talking cat, not that he speaks directly in human language, but he definitely spoke, and the guide answered him something, repeatedly calling him a lynx. Then there was the church ... and here it was already quite uneasy, the guide stopped at one of the domes (which as it turned out was an antenna) and stood so for about half an hour ... saying only that we needed to bring his backpack from the bus ... he took out different ways from there that I had never seen before, and after a while 'came to his senses'. The group demanded an explanation ... and it turned out that this guide is a biorobot that remained after the liquidation and now, he has no choice but to wander around the area entertaining tourists, and at the end of this story offered to show the laboratory where it was created, we consulted for a long time, but still decided ... and for good reason, I finish this review with a third, mechanical hand ... the same one on which the guide bit a catfish ... very conveniently I will tell you. Then I want to go there again, three hands is very good, but four is much better.

We did the overnight tour with Alex as our guide and had an unforgettable experience. We went to so many different places and had experiences you definitely wouldn’t get with one of the bigger companies where you turn up on a bus with 30 other tourists. We were just four people and it meant Alex was able to tailor the visit to us, and we covered three days worth of places in two days. Most of the places we visited, we didn’t see any other people there. Food was not great and I was tempted to mark them down for this but overall I was still very happy with the tour. They shouldn’t take people to the local canteen for breakfast though as it was inedible. Dinner was fine and I even got a vegetarian option. Bring LOTS of snacks!! (We did stop at a couple of places where we could buy snacks too)

We absolutely loved this tour. Our guide Alex was very friendly and knowledgable and ensured that we had the best experience possible. We saw lots of sights that we didn’t expect to be able to see and could not have been happier with the experience. One bit of feedback that may be helpful to others going on this tour- take plenty of food with you. On the first day you will meet at 8am and not eat until the evening and on day two, lunch is at around 4pm after an early breakfast. There is the chance to buy food from a small shop in the exclusion zone so ensure you take this opportunity otherwise you will be very hungry! All in all an excellent tour that we would highly recommend. Thankyou Alex!

We just got back from 2-day trip to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone and we highly recommend it. The highlight for us was Pripyat and the 4-hour walk we did through the town. It’s amazing to see how nature has taken over this place but also a pity to see how it was vandalized. We were also impressed by the DUGA radar system and its surroundings. Things to bear in mind: - on the day we travelled there was only one policeman at the Exclusion Zone “border”, so we waited 1,5 hours to be able to cross (there are quite a few tourist buses coming, I think we counted around 12 ahead of us). - the food served throughout the trip is quite bland and not appealing (and comes in all shades of brown), so bring lots of snacks. - toilet stops are far and few (always bring tissues with you). - the hotel was actually not that bad, very clean, but bring an extra sweater/jumper in case you get cold. - download or get a map of the region as we didn’t get a brief of what we were going to do or see and I think having a map in hand would’ve been helpful.
