What To Expect
The 2-day horseback ride in the Andes is an ideal adventure if you are looking to disconnect from the pace of the city, in a 100% natural environment. The mountains of Valle del Sol are our home: we have more than 700 hectares, and we will guide you to the best spots. 2-day ride into the heart of the mountains, combining unforgettable landscapes and regional culture in the hoserback tour. You will reach almost 4,000 masl, riding through ravines, valleys and springs of pure water. It will be a great adventure: we will spend the night in a camp under the starry sky of the Cordón del Plata mountain range. We will enjoy the regional delicacies of the Post, and we will get to know the native flora and fauna of the Andes.

Amazing Gaucho ride across the Andes!

5.00Myself and my husband completed the 2 day Andes ride with Lucas & Daniel. Joaquín assisted with our booking and made it all so easy to arrange. This was a truely breathtaking experiance. We started as a larger group and head up for a few hours to an asado point and had a wonderful lunch. I am vegetarian and they made sure to have appropriate food for me. After lunch we continued on just the two of us and Lucas whilst the others headed back. Our camp area was great, the views were amazing. We saw the milky way whilst the horses grazed on the hills around. We hired a tent and sleeping bags which were in great condition and kept us warm in the freezing weather (we woke up to ice on our tent!). After a lovely breakfast we started the days ride. This was much more intensive as we climbed to 4000m across a river gorge and up the peak. The terrain was both rocky, loose in places and very steep. You really have to trust the amazing horses to pick their footing. At times we were on an edge whilst nervy was an amazing experience. At the peak we had climbed above the clouds and got treated to incredible views. Untouched and full of nature we saw different animals, including Daniels other horses who were grazing. I have over 15 years riding experiance and my husband has only ridden once before and it was certainly challenging for him but once he trusted his horse and could steer more, he found it easier. This ride isn't for those scared of heights but is really a once in a lifetime! Once back at the Ranch we got invited into daniels home and treated to empandas whilst we warmed up before heading back to our apartment. Lucas and Daniel were both friendly and welcoming. The horses are treated well which was very important to me. I hope to come back one day to ride to the lagoon! Thank you Lucas
