What To Expect
City Palace
A complex of small and big palaces, museums and gardens encompassing a rich blend of Rajasthani, Mughal, Medieval, European and Chinese architecture. One of the most beautiful palatial structures in Rajasthan. Originally built by Maharana Uday Singh II, it rises 30 meters above Lake Pichola and extends up to 244 meters. The palace complex has been built entirely in granite and marble. The interior with its balconies, towers and cupolas exhibits delicate mirror work, marble work, murals, wall paintings, silver work, inlay work and colored glass mosaics. The complex provides a fine view of the lake and the city from its upper terraces. Getting inside the City Palace and explore several gateways, Amar Vilas, Badi Mahal, Chini Chitrashala, Choti Chitrashali, Dilkhusha Mahal, Durbar Hall, Fateprakash Palace, Jagdish Mandir, Krishna Vilas, Laxmi Vilas Chowk, Manak Mahal, Mor Chowk , Rang Bhawan, Sheesh Mahal and a museum.
Jagdish Temple
Next visit to the Jagdish Temple - Located 150 meters north of City Palace, the Indo-Aryan architectural style temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is visible from nearly anywhere in the old city center and is Udaipur's most iconic landmark. The temple walls and the shikara or tower are decorated with carvings of Vishnu, scenes from Lord Krishna’s life and figurines of nymphs or apsaras. The street square, at the base of the temple steps, is also known as Jagdish Chowk from where several roads radiate in different directions.

5.00We were collected from our hotel and driven 40mins into Udaipur. Our driver recommended a stop on the way to show us a very well known temple, well worth it! On the way to the City Palace he was very polite, informative and professional. The car was spotless. We saw City Palace, did a 1hr boat cruise on the lake and walked to Jagdish Temple. Our driver then took us to an excellent tailors where we picked up some lovely cashmere scarfs - lots more on offer but we didn't have time. Overall a great experience!

5.00We had booked a taxi from Sun Rajasthan Tours for our sightseeing of udaipur. We had been provided with Toyota Etios along with the driver Mr Rashid. Our driver Rashid was a very polite young man but with good knowledge of history of Udaipur. He was very prompt and punctual. He made our trip to Udaipur very nice and memorable. We are completely satisfied with the service of Sun Rajasthan Tours.

5.00Used taxi transfer service twice between hotels and drop off to Udaipur airport. Service was on time and also flexible thanks to driver Rashid due to flight time changes. Due to bis knowledge as a tour guide I also benefitted making a stop over eg at Eklinji temple on my way which was a nice add on.

5.00Wonderful experience with Sun Rajasthan..we were on a short weekend visit to Udaipur for our 1st anniversary celebration and our experience was awesome including the stay at Trident and journey with Mr.Rashid of Sun Rajasthan tours..he was very friendly, polite and a best guide for our sightseeing at Udaipur..He also gave us good information bout the shopping markets in Udaipur and made us aware of the markets where things are overpriced reflecting concerned gesture..overall we will always recommend our friends to get experience of Sun Rajasthan tours..

5.00Was in Udaipur for a wedding and extended 1 day to visit the great sights of Udaipur. Rashid was my local guide and driver. Friendly chap, informative and very gracious. Although it was short day tour, Rashid made best of the time and ensure we had enough time at each location to look around and take photos. I would recommend Mr. Rashid to everyone!

5.00Great taxi service, with Mr. Raju showing us around for the 4 days that we were in Udaipur. He covered all the major attractions and even arranged for tour guide where it was needed like for City Palace. Also, he arranged for a VIP Darshan (we had to bear the fee ofcourse, but he made the arrangements) in Nathdwara Temple(it was really needed, it's a really crowded temple of Lord Krishna). We covered Udaipur in a lesiurely yet efficient manner thanks to Mr. Raju and his good suggestions. He contributed majorly in shaping our itinerary as well to make it more time efficient! Also, it was a very courteous and punctual service, would recommend to hire this service to anyone visiting Udaipur and surrounding areas.
