What To Expect
At the Udawalawa Elephant Transit Home (Orphanage), located on the B427 in Udawalawa, travelers will witness Sri Lanka’s efforts in elephant conservation. 5.00The safari was organised by my accommodation and was a really nice experience. The guide had a good eye for hidden animals and gave us enough time to observe and photograph them. Beside elephants we saw water buffalo, deer, crocodiles and lots of birds. The breakfast was homemade and very tasty. I can absolutely recommend this experience.

5.00We greatly enjoyed a half-day safari with Udawala Wild Life Safari - our driver Ravindu was great, a good driver he spotted lots of animals we might have missed without him - he knew lots about the animals and told us so many interesting things about them. The jeep had good seats and suspension for a really good ride. We saw peacocks in the trees, crocodiles, elephants, monkeys, deer, mongoose and lots of beautiful birds. I never expected to come so close to the animals - it was a magical day! Thank you for the perfect organization from pickup to drop off and a wonderful day! Highly recommended!

5.00The jeep was comfortable (as well as you can be on these roads) and the guide pointed out a lot of animals and what they are called. Breakfast (with some cheecky monkeys) was great.

5.00The safari was an absolute dream! We were all alone in the jeep, were picked up from the accommodation as well as brought back and on site there was a super delicious lunch package! Everything was individually tailored to us and our guide was very proactive and had a broad knowledge of the national park as well as the animals to be found there. Can only recommend the trip!

5.00Had an amazing experience. Hasith organized a lovely safari experience for us with an amazing guide. He took us on off beaten paths and pointed out all the animals and even provided a yummy lunch. Got to watch many many elephants and deers and other animals and had great fun.

5.00Amazing safari tour with a nice guide that told us the details of the animals we saw. He even knew quite a lot of animals in German. Besides many beautiful birds, monkeys and deers we also saw a lot of elephants (one of which was pregnant), crocodiles, buffaloes and many others. We had a wonderful day and would definitely book again.

5.00The safari was well organized and our guide was very good in English and therefore explained everything well to us and answered all questions. He was at our accommodation on time at 05.15. Initially the park was jammed with jeeps, but he drove around it well and then we were alone. The elephants came very close to the jeep, once even a mother with her calf. Otherwise we have seen many peacocks, deer, monkeys, birds and reptiles. The subsequent breakfast in the park was very relaxed.

5.00Well organized Safari with a lovely guide who shared a lot of interesting information. The booking process was very easy and even possible at short notice via WhatsApp. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast inside the national park, which made the experience even more special. Highly recommended!
