We were a group of four students arriving by train from Dar es Salaam. If you plan to do the same, make sure to note that the station in Morogoro is likely the Jakaya Kikwete SGR Station. Our guide, Azaria, met us at the Oasis Hotel, and from there we started our walking tour. Azaria was a thoughtful and knowledgeable guide who shared many insights about the local culture, the people of Morogoro, and life in Tanzania in general. Along the way, he also pointed out interesting details about the local wildlife and plant life, which added depth to the experience. On the first day, we visited the waterfall — a truly beautiful spot with refreshing (but cold) water. Lunch was delicious, and we had the chance to learn more about traditional mat weaving and pottery-making, which was both educational and engaging. Camping at Morning Side was comfortable, and the view from there was simply breathtaking. We also thoroughly enjoyed the hike the following day and had a wonderful time at the camp surrounded by Strawberry Farming. All in all, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish - enriching and full of memorable moments.

The tour was amazing, we met locals to practice our Kiswahili, took way too many photos of stunning views, beautiful plants, and special animals as the three-horned chameleon, primates high up in the trees and the green mamba snake. The food was excellent during the trip and there was a vegetarian option. At the end of our trip, we also went into Morogoro for a soko (market) tour. Evance was an amazing tour guide with excellent knowledge of the nature and culture!

We did two hiking trips with Evans; to Uluguru Mountains and Mount Meru. We really enjoyed both hikes. Everything was arranged well. Evans is a really nice and funny guy. We had a good time with him on the moutains. He knows a lot about animals and plants and likes to tell you all about it. Also the contact was easy. We would definitely recommend him as a tourguide.

Authentic Experience through the villages of the tribes who live there, giving you the chance to dive deep into their values and culture. We went on a three day hike with Evance in the hills around Morogoro and a Maasai village nearby and had a wonderful time! Evance was super friendly, knowledgable and a great guide throughout. The people we met on the tour gave us an incredible, genuine insight into daily life for the people living in the mountains and preparing a meal of cassava, coconut ugali and sweet chai tea made from milk straight from the cow was an absolute highlight! The Maasai village at the end of the tour was a complete contrast to the mountain villages and the goat barbecue was delicious!
