This tour was amazing! We hopped on the bus around 3pm and visted the cultural centre to learn about Indigenous culture in the area, then a trip around the base of Uluru, during which our guide told us stories about the sacred sites around the rock. We visited Muṯitjulu Waterhole and listened to more Indigenous cultural history, the geology of Uluru and much more. Finally, we stopped at the dedicated viewing area of Uluru for sunset with sparkling wine and a charcuterie/cheese platter. Our guide was very knowledgeable and all staff were friendly and willing to take photos of us on our tour. All in all, we were very happy with this tour and would highly recommend.

As soon as the sun sinks deeper, the rocks turn into a spectacular play of colors – from bright orange to a deep red, almost mystical. For me, the sunset at Uluru was an unforgettable experience – a place where nature, culture and spirituality are tangibly interwoven. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Australia!

So cool to watch the sunset on Ayres Rock while sipping sparkling wine! The viewing area is large enough to accommodate all the visitors. The tour operator did a nice job.

Even if you don't speak English at all, you can still take a Japanese tour! (Even if you can speak a little English because there are so many proper nouns, it may be difficult to hear them on the English tour) We also heard many geological and cultural stories that can only be heard locally. Uluru in the picture and Uluru in the field are two different things. I think it would be best if we went on two sunset tours (the content is completely different).

A large bus picked us up at the resort. Write drove around Uluru and were given commentary on the sacred sites we passed. It was very hot, so I was happy to be in an air conditioned bus for the ride around the rock. We stopped at the cultural center. There was interesting history written within wall art , many photos, and a short movie about the local peoples. There was a gift shop and clean toilets. There was a short walk to a watering hole containing native artwork. Our guide Mitch did a great job telling us about the area and keeping people organized and together. We were taken to a viewing area for the sunset. There was plenty of champagne and light snacks to enjoy while we waited for the sunset. On our visit, there was a huge cloud obstructing the sun, so we didn’t get the colors we were expecting. We did get some amazing lightning in the opposite direction. You can never predict nature! It was great that Mitch kept reminding everyone to keep drinking their water. There was plenty of cold water on the bus and we were able to refill our water bottles at each stop. We were offered folding stools to sit on while waiting for the sunset, but they were too low for this senior citizen. We walked over to an area with benches and picnic tables instead. I could see where this area could get very crowded, but on our night we were okay, and there wasn’t a great view anyway.
