Your adventure begins with a relaxing picturesque journey through the outback. We will pick you up from your Alice Springs accommodation around 6.45 AM to embark on our journey. If you’re starting from Ayers Rock, we can arrange to pick you up at the airport (subject to flight arrival details) or at Ayers Rock Resort, with pickup at the resort scheduled for approximately 1:30 PM. Our first stop is at Erldunda Roadhouse, where you can enjoy a coffee break before we continue on our way. Next, we’ll drive to Yulara Town Square in Ayers Rock Resort, where you can have lunch at your leisure.
Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
In the afternoon, we’ll explore the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. You’ll have the opportunity to take short walks around the base of the magnificent Uluru, immersing yourself in the sacred traditions and stories of the Anangu people. One of the day’s highlights will be sipping drinks and savouring BBQ while watching the sunset on Uluru—a truly unforgettable experience. After the sun has dipped below the horizon, you’ll be taken to the Outback Pioneer Hotel for your overnight stay, where you can relax and reflect on your first day of this remarkable journey.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
Today begins with an early start, but the experience will be truly rewarding! Enjoy a breathtaking sunrise view of Uluru with a cup of coffee or tea to kickstart your day. After sunrise, we’ll return to your hotel for breakfast.
Kata Tjuta - The Olgas
After breakfast, we’ll set off to explore Kata Tjuta, where you’ll take a leisurely walk through Walpa Gorge and enjoy the spectacular views from the site’s viewing platform. Following this, we’ll head back to the resort, giving you the afternoon to unwind or take this opportunity to explore the Ayers Rock Resort at your own pace with a range of optional activities available. Please note that these activities are optional, at your own expense, and subject to availability.

5.00My guide Matt was great...we weren't packed, only 2 people from Alice Springs and then four on the Uluru tour and BBQ, although 2 people joined us for the BBQ later. Matt was very knowledgeable about the area and also knew a great deal about the significance of Uluru to the Anangu people so that we treated the area with respect. The second day was Kata Tjuta with a lot of wind which was good because it kept all the bugs away. Only regret is I didn't take a longer tour. Maybe next time.

5.002-day tour package we took from Alice Springs is not among the tours listed but is on Emu Run website - "2 Day Uluru & Kata Tjuta Tour Package". Emu Run did an excellent job looking after 6 of us. Coach was clean and comfortable, not full so we could spread around for photos from windows. Drivers were informative and efficient - particular shout-out to Yad who escorted us around the Rock on some short walks and related Dreamtime stories about the locations. Evening BBQ was excellent - steaks were tender and perfectly cooked. The Uluru sunset was a disappointment due to cloud - not Emu Run's fault! Second day sunrise tour was by AAT Kings, equally comfortable coach and very informative driver. Magnificent view of Uluru in cloudless sunrise. NOTES: own water bottle is essential - this is a desert! Coaches have plenty of water for refills. Tea, coffee and snacks supplied for sunrise tour, equates to a very light breakfast. Accommodation not included at Alice Springs or Yulara.
