I would recommend to anyone visiting any country to consider a black history tour. The tour highlights significant places, moments and historic figures of Barbados. The tour guide was knowledgeable and at the beginning of the tour, greeted us with a large bottle of water, for the hot day and walk around Bridgeton. I would recommend that if you have more time to do a full tour, to do all the historic places around the island.

We loved this walking Tour! Natasha was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable of the history of Bridgetown and so hospitable. The tour was very emotional at times seeing all that the ancestors went through and the harsh treatment they endured.

Natasha was very knowledgeable. She answered my questions and gave valuable insight into the existence of slavery in Barbados. Also, she highlighted the resilience of the people who overcame the horrors of enslavement to become powerful leaders and builders of communities. The missing element was the lack of historical markers. There were a few, but given the wealth of historical information covered, Bridgetown can do much more to make its history more visible. Thank you Natasha!
