I did two tours through Altitude Travel — the Pampas (2D/1N) and Salar de Uyuni (3D/2N). While the destinations were amazing, my experience with the agency itself was very disappointing. From the start, the communication was faulty and incomplete. I had to organize my own bus to Rurrenabaque, and the only bus Altitude recommended actually arrived after the tour’s starting time. I wasn’t warned the schedule was inaccurate on the bus website, so I ended up on a very low-comfort overnight bus and later had to change my ticket completely on my own and at my expense. During both tours, I was never told who my guide would be, who was picking me up, the operator’s name, or even how many people were in the group. My vouchers had no useful information, and the only contact person (Faby) replied once saying 'someone will pick you up' and then stopped answering messages — even when I waited over an hour for pickup from...someone, in Rurrenabaque. Other travelers that were waiting with me felt shocked at how little information I had about my tour. Everyone knew who was going to pick them up, and I just stood there in rainy, muddy bus station in Rurrenabaque at 7am, after a 14 h bus drive, waiting and watching other travelers get picked up. The Pampas guide, Luis, spoke very little English and didn’t guide us at all. He was on his phone most of the time, and compared to other groups, we received almost no information or engagement. The nature was beautiful, but the guiding was not. The Uyuni tour was great, but it was run by Pearl of Bolivia, not Altitude Travel — so I cannot credit Altitude for that quality. Overall, due to the lack of guidance, missing information, and unreliable communication, I cannot recommend Altitude Travel. Other agencies offer a much more organized and supportive experience.

An amazing 3-day tour in the salt desert, an authentic beauty of nature. The landscapes, the lagoons, the roads, the diversity of places of interest are endless. Everything was very well organized, the guide and the drivers were unbeatable. I highly recommend this unique experience. It's tired, but it's worth a lot! A special thanks to Forcas who helped us organize our days in Bolivia from day one.

What an incredible experience! Altitude sorted everything and any questions I had they responded quickly and were very helpful. The experience was incredible and got a transfer to San Pedro with no issues. Dorcas was very helpful as well as Nelson and everyone on the Altitude team. Would recommend to anyone.

Review for 3 day Uyuni tour and transfer to Chile. - We paid extra for a private room for the 2 nights only to find out that all the other couples on our tour were given private rooms for free. - Our driver kept falling asleep at the wheel through the salt flats (luckily there was nothing to hit). - The food was overall disappointing and caused some stomach issues. + Our guide Victor was great and gave us enough time at each place. We enjoyed all of the stops, just not sure we’d recommend this company.

They made me pay for the tour more than the other members of the group and they didn’t want to give me the difference back. Those responsible have blamed each other without solving the problem, or apologizing. I do not recommend this agency at all, they are liars and few professionals. They trick you and don't serve you after you've paid.

Good agency very serious and reliable. We made the ascent of huyana potosi with our guide "José" (3 days) super guide listening, I highly recommend it. During the ascent food as well as material is provided by the agency. I recommend altitude travel.

We booked the 3 days / 2 nights uyuni salt flat tour with altitude. Everything was good organized from the pick up to the tour itself. The food and the accommodations were good. Special thank you to our guide Israel and our driver Fila! Israel is a real good guide with good English who cared all the time for the group. Furthermore he provided a lot of information. Fila was a experienced driver who took us safely around.
