There are few highways in the world with as much awe-inspiring scenery as the Sea-to-Sky Highway. Officially known as BC Highway 99, this legendary route from Vancouver to Whistler and beyond is a drive with incredible sights at just about every turn. It's also filled with fun stops, including outdoor destinations, cultural points of interest and historic sites.
Britannia Mine Museum
The Britannia Mine Museum, formerly British Columbia Museum of Mining, is located in Britannia Beach, which is about 55 km kilometres north of Vancouver on the Sea-to-Sky Highway on Howe Sound. The Museum site itself is an exhibit – from historical machinery to heritage buildings to the massive yellow dump truck that lives within the facility. You can take an underground tour of the mine on an old mine train. The 45 minute guided tour gives you an understanding of what life was like as a miner back in the early 1900s.

5.00We chose a planned excursion but once we met our driver Iresh we knew it would is be a great day. We added a few extra things we’d like to do and he also added extra. We were provided with a snack box with choices of snacks and drinks. Expensive trip but well worth having our own private driver for the day. Thanks Iresh.

The selection of activities helped us understand the history of Vancouver amd experience its beauty in a way that you wouldn’t experience by keeping to the downtown area. 5.00One of the best acutance with nature. This tour was amazing and attractions were picturesque. Sea to sky highway was great and it has spots with lot of historical importance. My guide was was proactive driver was well versed with attractions. Private vehicle given to me was luxurious setting. Moreover we enjoyed. Although the gondola in Squamish was closed due to covid restrictions but my guide given me extra additions in the tour which we liked.
