The tour was really fun, and Glenn is a very good orientator for telling stories. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the area. Not that he had any control over it but was glad the monsoons ended just before the tour started.

THE HOLIDAY HISTORY AND HOT CHOCOLATE WALKING TOUR, SPICED UP BY A TALENTED GUIDE, VANCOUVER 2025: Thank God in His Name of Jesus, Amen! This tour, conducted and operated by the Forbidden Vancouver Tour, was really hot. First, at the strat of the tour in the early evening of 17 December 2025, we were provided hot chocolate to sip on during the walking tour that lasted one and a half hours more or less, and, second, we were regaled with hot bits and pieces of information about political, economic, media, and social scandals that played out in Vancouver, Canada, involving city politicians and society personalities in the 1920s until the Second World War. What made the tour truly interesting was the characterization, as it were, of the historical accounts and scandals by Marina, the walking tour guide from the Forbidden Vancouver Tour. Marina came from the Vancouver theater circuit prior to shifting as a tour guide. Using her theater experience to the hilt, Marina literally breathed to life Vancouver’s history and the scandals that spiced it up. My wife, Judge Angelina, expressed total amazement at the way Marina pulled each of the 50 or so pictures from her shoulder bag, bringing up with precision the exact picture of the historical event that she was discussing, even without sorting the pictures out first. It was fun and exhilarating—-the tour, I mean. Salamat Panginoong Jesus, Amen!

Aislynn was fantastic as our tour guide. While we walked through downtown - looping around from Granville Street (outdoors and indoors) and ending at the Marine Building (a place I'd seen a million times but never registered it's significance!) - she showed us wonderful architecture and also spun the tales of people who lived in the earlier days of the city.

Our History and Hot Chocolate tour was amazing. Our guide Glenn was a fantastic story teller and kept our group engaged with the tales of days gone by in Vancouver. This was our second Forbidden Vancouver tour and we have thoroughly enjoyed both. Would definitely recommend this tour company if you would like to hear intriguing, fun facts about Vancouver.

We have done most of the Forbidden City Walking Tours and enjoy all of them. This one was just as awesome! We were taken all over the downtown portion of Vancouver, and heard so many stories! The best part is at the last stop - the Marine Building. It is stunning!!

Such a fun activity and a great way to learn more about the history and the scandalous past of Vancouver. Glenn was our storyteller and he was very entertaining and also checked in with all members of the group to ensure everyone was ok and following along. Highly recommend for both lower maintains locals and tourists to the area. Also the hot chocolate from Trees was delicious!

Highly recommend taking a tour with Forbidden Vancouver. Rob was our tour guide and was incredibly knowledgable, friendly, and entertaining. We took the hot chocolate history tour and it was exactly what we were hoping it would be. We learned a lot and got to see some beautiful buildings and some holiday decorations. The tour was well organized. Rob made sure everyone could hear/see and kept a good pace throughout. Very impressed and would happily take more tours from them.
