Vernal Fall
Beginning at Happy Isles in the eastern end of Yosemite Valley, our trail climbs above the cataracts and rapids of the Merced River to a bridge over the river with excellent views of 317 ft. tall Vernal Fall.
Mist Trail
The next half mile is where the Mist Trail earns its name. Steep and slick, the trail ascends a virtual granite stairway through the thundering mist of Vernal Fall. In spring and early summer rain gear is recommended.

Great scenery and campsites, Jackson and Emma made excellent meals the whole trip. Enjoyed the quiet time in nature and away from the world.

Amazing experience on the 7 day "Wonders of Yosemite" trek with Wildland Trekking: amazing scenery throughout, great group of people, really devoted guide, and tons of swimming in alpine lakes :) Highly recommended

This hike was unforgettable — stunning views, a fantastic guide who knew everything about the park, and the perfect balance of pace and breaks. The food was the real surprise: fresh, flavorful, and way beyond anything I expected on the trail. Left feeling completely rejuvenated. Highly recommend!

We had booked a private day trip through Wildland Yosemite. Top, 5 stars. Top processing during the booking, punctual pickup and a day that will be remembered. Very big compliment to Sam, who clearly stood out from all booked private tours during our US stay: very relaxed communication, we learned a lot about the park with flora and fauna, he took care of everything in an exemplary way and it was just a great pleasure to spend the day with him. Sam has made you want and created confidence to undertake further tours, especially guided (multi-day) hiking tours with wildland. Horny guy! Thank you for the impressions and the time together! Highly recommended!

Daniel, our guide was great! He was so in touch with the park, its history and culture! Knowing when a group needs a few minutes to rest is so important and hiking with a senior, Daniel made sure. I thought the entire event was great. Backpacks were lent out for carrying items, but snacks and an awesome lunch were provided so there was little need for everyone to take one. We’re looking forward to the next adventure and will definitely follow Wildland Trekking for availability

The hike to Vernal and Nevada Falls was spectacular in November. It is a long hike and it gets steep at the end, but the effort is totally rewarded by the astounding view of the falls in the winter landscape and the snowcap peaks.

My son Matt and I had an incredible experience doing the Half Dome / Yosemite trip with WT and in particular, Austin, our guide. Austin made what is naturally a great adventure in to a trip that neither Matt or I will forget nor say enough good things about! I'm already looking into which trip is next. Many thanks to the WT team!

Our group of six adventurous women, all 55+, set out in search of a true challenge, and we found it with Wildland Trekking. We chose this trek because of its timing and the level of difficulty, and it surpassed all our expectations. Our guides, Rafi and Morgan, were absolutely incredible. They brought a perfect blend of expertise, charisma, and unyielding motivation that kept us going every step of the way. The uphill climb to Snow Creek was undeniably tough, but we tackled it in stages, relishing the challenge and the breathtaking views at every turn. What made this experience even more special were the three other women on our journey—we didn’t know them when we started, but we left as lifelong friends. This truly was a life-changing adventure. To top it all off, the food was delicious, expertly prepared to fuel us for each day’s challenge. We’ve traveled with another company before (which shall remain unnamed), but there’s no comparison. Wildland Trekking stands in a league of its own. The seamless communication throughout the registration process and the journey itself was exceptional. Rafi and Morgan made this trek unforgettable, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their guidance and encouragement. Wildland Trekking is hands-down the best, and we can’t wait for our next adventure with them!

From registration to the trekking, Wildland performed above and beyond my expectations. Carm, our experienced Wildland Guide, fostered a positive group dynamic. She fully engaged with each of us, set a comfortable pace on the trail, prepared nourishing and delicious meals and represented the ideals of Wildland brilliantly.
