A relaxing, leisure-paced day. We take proper breaks at the beautiful Angelina and La Petite Venise so you can recharge and enjoy the atmosphere. (Food/drink not included).

5.00Great day with Alistair, his commentary and knowledge really brought to life the Palace of Versailles. Great tour of the gardens, including Marie Antoinette rural village were high lights of the day. Lots of stories about the lives of Louis XIV, XV & XIV, including their court, mistresses and family, really gave a picture of life, up to and including their downfall in revolutionary France. Great communication before and paced the toured very well, including coffee and lunch breaks. He talked with knowledge but very inclusive in his manner to ensure everyone enjoyed the day. Definitely recommend Alistair for this tour.

5.00The tour guide Alistair was absolutely perfect. He provided a thorough history, taking us places that you typically wouldn’t see if you wandered into the palace grounds without a guide. He entertained our many questions and provided answers along with many stories. We felt truly immersed in the culture, the history, the beauty, and the experience. You can truly tell he loves what he does. I couldn’t have imagined going to Versailles without Alistair. If there’s one thing you do on your trip to Paris, book with him. Merci, Alistair!!

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories and historical details that really brought Versailles to life.
