My daughter and I absolutely loved our Storytime tour of Versailles. Alastair was a fantastic guide. He was so organized promoting and full of historical facts about the beautiful gardens. The gardens are stunning on their own but this tour made the history come alive. Alastair was full of knowledge and shared so many interesting facts. He mastered questions and I truly believe it made us love Versailles… the gardens and the castle. It was exceptional! Sign up for this tour you will be so thrilled!

This half day tour was a wonderful experience-I’m so glad I booked it. The small group gave us flexibility to change things up a bit, as the weather was rainy. Alistair gave us a history of the palace and grounds. We were at the fountains at the right times, we had refreshment breaks and he even took pics of us! I highly recommend this tour

We had the pleasure of touring Versailles with Alistair as our guide, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, he impressed us with his deep knowledge of the history and intricacies of the palace and grounds. He was thorough in his explanations, yet made everything accessible and engaging. What really stood out was how personable and attentive he was—before we even began, he took the time to ask what aspects we were most interested in so he could tailor the tour to our specific interests. That made the experience feel very personal and meaningful. Alistair also didn’t shy away from the occasional tricky question. If there was something he didn’t know, he was upfront and honest about it, which we really appreciated. It added to his credibility and showed his genuine passion for the subject rather than just reciting a script. Although it was a long day, we enjoyed every minute of it thanks to his thoughtful pacing and engaging storytelling. We walked away with a much deeper appreciation for Versailles—and for the people who bring its history to life. Highly recommended!

Alistar was knowledgeable and entertaining. We loved our tour of the grounds and the Hamlet. He allowed us to tour the Palace at our own pace. He not only knew the grounds well but also educated us on French history and the history of the Palace. I highly recommend his tour!!
