It is imperative that you provide us with the guest’s MOBILE PHONE NUMBER (including the country code). The reason is simple but crucial: guests sometimes arrive late. If a tour operator books on their behalf and uses the operator’s number instead of the guest’s, we have no way of contacting them directly. Unless the guest reaches out to us, they cannot rejoin the tour. However, if we have the guest’s own number, we can immediately send their tickets and ensure they can easily rejoin the tour without missing out.

An excellent adventure for the whole family. Everyone loved Alistair’s story telling from Louis XIV having a challenging surgical procedure the the beheading of Marie Antoinette. Great stuff. We all learned a lot. Versailles was exceptional as well!

Absolutely amazing experience with Allistar, I have been to Versailles before and wanted to learn more. With the guided tour he tells a story through the gardens, the monarchy and how it impacts us today. Was a perfect balance of walking, sitting with discussion and self exploration. Fantastic tour!

My spouse and I took the six-hour tour of Versailles with Alistair - and we were happy that we did! Alistair is very knowledgeable of the history of Versailles. The focus of the tour was the various palace intrigues of Louis XIV to Louis XVI - as well as the Revolution and its aftermath, but Alistair was great at contextualizing the events and pointing out key points of interest. My spouse absolutely loved Marie Antoinette’s hamlet and the stories told of her tragic life in France from age 14 to her death in the revolutionary period that engulfed France from 1789 to the reign of Napoleon I. The walk through the palace itself is more self-guided but that allows the freedom to spend more time on things you are interested in. Highly recommended.

The tour of the gardens was fantastic and so beautiful. Allister was very knowledgeable and in my opinion made the outdoor experience amazing. I would love to see the inside as a small guided tour; however, with all the people it would be difficult. The audio guide you would need headphones and some understanding of where the app starts

This is THE Versailles tour. Look no further! My partner and I looked at a range of tours, but Alistair was a great guide providing historical context, humour and expert knowledge for a day we’ll never forget. Don’t worry about toilet stops, coffee or lunch as Alistair has it all taken care of. He’s consideration of our needs was excellent as was his English which is balanced by 12 years of living in France. Marie Antoinette’s Hamlet was an unexpected highlight and the tour of the Versailles gardens (with the little train to take the load off your feet) was fabulous. Even got a chance to feed the swans and fish in the petite park!! Book this bespoke tour and like us, I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed.
