What To Expect
The Gardens of Versailles, designed by André Le Nôtre in the 17th century, are a masterpiece of French formal garden design and a grand expression of royal power under Louis XIV. Spanning over 800 hectares, the gardens feature meticulously ordered paths, geometric flowerbeds, sculpted topiaries, grand fountains, and ornamental lakes. Highlights include the Grand Canal, the Latona and Apollo fountains, and the Orangery. More than just landscape, the gardens are an open-air theatre of symmetry, symbolism, and spectacle—designed to awe and control, just like the palace they surround.

5.00I really liked the audio guide. It was interesting walking around the gardens with these hilarious stories. Not like museum audio guides, here learned many details of the daily life of the kings and the main thing became clear what each fountain means, otherwise would have left just with beautiful pictures

5.00So much has happened in this garden! Amazing stories, personal secrets of kings and queens, revelations of contemporaries—there was so much to discover on this tour. I never regretted walking through the garden in winter. The weather was pleasant, and the audio guide's stories were informative and engaging.

5.00Wow! The audio guide of the Gardens of Versailles on this app was an incredible experience. The narration is superbly done, with a very pleasant voice and a perfect pace for walking around without rushing. Plus, the map in the app syncs perfectly with my location, so I always knew exactly where to look or where to go. I felt like I was traveling back in time to the era of Louis XIV, understanding not only the grandeur of the place but also its symbolism and design. It made me appreciate every fountain, sculpture, and garden avenue so much more.

1.00Ticket for Palace of Versailles was not accepted as it was issued on the wrong day. The ticket for the castle garden had the right day, but an incorrect code. The castle garden should only exist without an audio guide.

1.00Disaster!!!!! No app available. Have paid 2x 7€ for nothing with X ! Booked and paid for the 27.09.2025 audio app for Versailles garden tour. Unfortunately no app(function not available) of the booking and no one on site could help us ! Not recommended! If those affected read the message, wish me my money back!
