5.00Great Versailles visit with kids (7 and 11). Kids loved breaking up all the walking with golf carting (make sure you bring your driver's license) and biking. There is now way we could have covered it all by walking. Even with all of that, my 7 yo was pretty pooped by the time we got to the actual palace tour, so I stayed with him on a bench outside. Our tour guide was Paula and she did a great job keeping the kids engaged with some gross stories from royal history that you won't find in the textbooks.

2.00While Versailles is beautiful and our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, the tour description did not stipulate that the golf cart rental was for 1 hour only (it looks like the description has been updated). It also read like we could choose between using golf carts and bikes, it now stipulates that we must transfer to bikes (but a shuttle is an option now; it wasn’t offered at the time). Our 9 and 11 year old loved the bikes, my husband and I were not prepared for that. Once at the Queens Hamlet, via bicycle, we were let loose for an hour. After getting lost at an adjoining property, we finally made our way back only to be told the food at the bakery was sold out for the day. We understand that King Tours isn’t responsible for us getting lost or for the bakery being out of food, but this added to the disappointment of not having the cart rentals for the entire tour. Considering that we paid nearly $700 for this tour with a small group, we were not impressed.

5.00This experience was great and Paula was a great guide! If you do this tour you should know that touring the palace is the absolute last thing you do on your own so by then you are a little tired bc it’s 3:30 or so. I do wish we had spent less time on the gardens/fountains as it did seem to drag on a bit. Overall it was a good value and lunch was nice with a bottle of wine! Tour companies should “boot” guests in the group who refuse to follow along though. That was another issue dealing with rude customers who didn’t follow time constraints.

5.00What a great tour! Paula was super friendly and knowledgeable. Golf carting and bicycling in the garden/park areas was so much fun! Lunch from Angelina was also tasty. The tour ends entering the magnificent palace. Don't hesitate. Book this tour!
