Versailles is beautiful and amazing, and our tour guide at the Palace, Cecile, was well versed and kept the tour moving and enjoyable. Even with the early entry/skip the line pass and being rainy/snowy, it was still a task to gain entry, and the train ride there and back could have been coordinated better. For example, you have to walk about a mile to and from Palace, which is fine for us, but was not advertised. Additionally, the return trip is done solo, so make sure you remember the path walked! Overall, would recommend to anyone wanting to see and learn about Versailles, and ask for Cecile is possible!

Arrive early to the meeting point. We arrived at 7a local and while the Cafe Regalia (the meeting point) was not open on Saturday at 7a when we arrived, there was a hotel a couple of minutes down the street whose restaurant was open a nd their food was SOOO good and the staff was nice. Regarding the trip itself, the Viatar staff was very knowledgeable and cared about what they did. Both the deiver who met us and the guide who navigated us through Versailles were excellent. They were very thorough in what they did. The experience was wonderful. Do be prepared to walk a lot and for those who may be older, be prepared to navigate some stairs. Afterwards, the train ride back allows you to go wherever you want in Paris to do what you want to do. Awesome experience!

Fantastic, informative tour. Very easy to meet up with the first guide and then take a brief train to meet the Versailles tour guide on the property.

We were really thrilled to visit Versailles. The group entrance has a shorter queue than the general admission queue, but you will need to spend some time queuing for security, so make sure you have suitable clothes for the outdoor conditions. The audio equipment was very good - we could hear the tour guide very clearly even in busy rooms. The tour guide (Cecile) was entertaining and knowledgeable. A tip - the toilets near the cafe in the grounds have much shorter queues than the toilets indoors. Most outdoor statues were covered up due to winter conditions, but we saw so many amazing pieces indoors it wasn't a disappointment.

Arrived at the tour meeting point and the tour guide never showed up - there were quite a few of us and someone finally got ahold of Viator to ask what was going on and we were told to meet at Versailles instead AND that we would all be reimbursed for the trouble of taking taxis to get to Versailles on our own - we were never given advance notice yet friends of ours did an earlier tour that same day and they were notified by Viator via email the night before that the original meeting point was no longer going to occur - we would’ve appreciated the same heads up and to have been reimbursed the almost $30 cab ride we had to scramble and find at the very last minute!!

Amazing experience, Berek was very friendly and concerned, Matthew was an excellent guide explaining historical events and milestones along with curious facts and willingness to answer questions, his mastery of the subject was noted and he was always concise and fair with what he described, never excessive. The tour as such was not physically demanding and there were instances of rest. 10/10 absolutely recommended.

What an amazing tour of the Chateau. I didn’t realize how large of an estate Versailles is, and Matthew (not sure of spelling) did an amazing job educating us about the Chateau and Louis XIV. He was very knowledgeable and shared stories where appropriate. We also toured the gardens. Since our group was small, we had the time to go further into the gardens than I suspect most groups would. I am so glad I booked this tour and had Matthew as my guide. I highly recommend for anyone considering this activity.
