Palace of Versailles
Time to discover the grandeur of the French monarchy. Originally a hunting lodge, King Louis XIII transformed the site into the iconic Versailles Palace and Gardens in the 17th century, now designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. As you skip the line with your guide to enter the palace, you'll discover over 2,000 rooms, each adorned with exquisite art and treasures, offering a glimpse into the opulence of the French royal court. This estate served as the epicenter of French power and luxury during the reign of King Louis XIV, who spared no expense in his pursuit of perfection. Your expert guide will share fascinating tales of the court's lavish lifestyle and the notorious scandals that rocked Versailles during its heyday. Our guide, Victoria, was wonderful. She was attentive and funny. She really explained Paris/Versailles life very well.

Shoutout to Melanie, our tour guide, who did a great job. She gave us clear instructions regarding the commute to Versailles and repeated it multiple times so everyone was aware. Some of the rooms in the palace were crowded, especially the smaller rooms, but Melanie did a wonderful job giving us the highlights of the palace's history. Afterwards, we were able to explore the gardens on our own. We walked around for hours and was able to explore Petite Trianon and the Hamlet.

Getting to and from Versailles was a night mare with this tour. I would not recommend it. The tour leader gave a good tour of the inside palace only, reason for 2 stars. It was suppose to be gardens too. The Metro and train to get there and just given a train ticket to return, via a very convoluted trip back with no guidence back. The worst part was the mile walk from train station to and from Versailles back in the HOT sun.

This was a well-organized and informative tour. Our guide was top notch, extremely knowledgeable, and provided a wealth of information on the palace, French kings, and historical context of Versailles; in short. The small group atmosphere also made the tour more enjoyable and personalized, and allowed ample opportunities for questions.

Be captured by the beauty and timelessness of Versailles. Choose an early entry time to make the most of your day. Guide Melanie was friendly, informative and efficient. Getting there and back was a piece of cake.

Melanie was an amazing tour guide. However, I have been on these tours where if you are not back in time they leave you. I feel we waited far too long for the Donna Family party to join us at gate B, when they returned they did not apologize for holding us all up and missing our entry window. On side note the bathroom should have been offered before going into the first gates and before all the other tourists joined us,for instance at the metro station or at McDonald's.
