Fun trad adventure on Placa Roja!

5.00I'd booked with Ecordua last year and had a fun half day of sport climbing with Thomas. This visit I had more time and booked a full day. I asked for a fun, trad, multi-pitch classic climb, which Alan delivered. We went a little bit further up the Maipo valley than the normal trip and climbed the 8 pitch 240m Ruta Normal 5.8T on Placa Roja. It is a classic line with stunning views. On the rappel down we used the anchors on Marea Roja; I think we did that in 5 raps. Alan was the professional guide, but kept it fun; I'd climb with him again.
