What To Expect

Enjoy convenient and cost-effective shared transport between Vienna International Airport (VIE) and Wien-Mitte Train Station aboard the City Airport Train. After arriving at Vienna International Airport, follow the green signs to the CAT City Airport Train. In just 16 minutes on the double-decker train, arrive at Wien Mitte - Landstraße railway station with direct connection to the underground line in Vienna (U3/U4). City Check-In Passengers can already check in their baggage with selected airlines at the City Air Terminal within the railway station Wien-Mitte and get their boarding passes. The City Air Terminal offers all the services of an international airport terminal with both manned check-in desks and self service check-in kiosks. This service is available from 24 hours until 75 minutes before departure.

Use your CAT ticket for a single journey (in one direction) from the airport to the city center (or vice versa). After arriving at Vienna Airport/Wien Mitte, follow the green signs to the CAT.

CAT - RETURN TICKET

Use your CAT ticket for a return trip from the airport to the city center and back (and vice versa). After arriving at Vienna Airport/Wien Mitte, follow the green signs to the City Airport Train.

This was the best and most cost effective way to get my entire family into the city center after a long day of traveling. I only wish it ran 24/7 for our 3am flight back! It was super easy and efficient.

.most. memorable was the CAT train was not working due to technical issues. Thus I was stranded for over an hour before figuring out how to use an alternate train service. Why was I notified by email? The CAT had been down for several hours before my plane arrived in Vienna according to a CAT EMPLOYEE. I feel you owe me a 100% refund, not a vowture, since I will not be returning to Vienna.
