Are dietary restrictions accommodated? Vegetarian and vegan guests are welcome. Due to the pastry-heavy nature of Austrian cuisine, gluten allergies are harder to accommodate.
Are children allowed on the tour? This tour is best suited for adults and older children. For that reason, it’s not recommended for children under 12.

What kind of food is included? Guests can look forward to a seasonal strudel with tea or Viennese coffee, a hearty lunch with a main course (such as schnitzel, goulash, or a vegetarian option), a warm dessert, and a glass of Austrian wine or beer. The tour also includes street food tastings like pork roast or a vegetarian alternative, and a visit to a traditional coffeehouse with a choice of tea, Viennese coffee, or hot chocolate.
How much walking is included? This tour includes a walking distance of approximately 2 km (about 1.2 miles). The walk is at a relaxed, easy pace with plenty of stops for photos, stories, and breaks. She provided so much info on food culture in Vienna and took great care to ensure our group stayed together. There was plenty of food from so many great local (non touristy) places. Highly recommend this tour.

5.00We had a private tour with Wolfi. It was tailored to any dietary needs (and updated as we progressed and he learnt which things were our favourites). We caught public transport which was a great way to explore more interesting and different areas of Vienna than other tours (which tend to only focus on the tourist area). Wolfi was very knowledgeable about the history as well as the food so we learnt so much. This was a true highlight of our trip! Thank you Wolfi for a fantastic day

5.00We had an absolute blast having Wolfgang as our guide. We visited many different and wonderful places outside the touristy area of Stephansplatz. Wolfie showed us (and had us taste) many different establishments from districts outside District 1. Make sure you bring an appetite because you’ll be eating at every stop, from sweets, pastries, lunch (in our case asparagus raviolis, Tafelspitz with different side dishes, dessert), and then more food to taste at the market with sausages, goulash, ice cream…it goes on. It was great to have a local guide to give you a feel of the city outside of District 1. Highly recommended!

5.00Maria was just delightful. She took us to very authentic establishments and helped us figure out how to navigate public transportation, which is actually quite simple. The food was fantastic and we had a very charming group of people with us. I would highly recommend that you do this tour early in your visit to Vienna. You will find places that you want to go back to. One of the best food tours that I have ever been on. Thank you, Maria!

Christoph is an engaging, knowledgeable and funny host who not only explained the food, but also the sights and history of Vienna and surrounding regions. The food places were fantastic and not places we would otherwise have visited and the food was plentiful snd tasty. Highly recommended.

5.00A fabulous food tour! They broke us into groups of 8 which was the perfect size for a food tour. Maria was our guide and if you have her as your guide you are very lucky. We travelled by subway/tram/bus which gave us the ability to go to places we would have never found on our own. The food was delicious with a highlight being the street market stand with Tomas who was hilarious and his food was the best of the day! I have been on quite a few food tours in different cities and this was one of if not the best one I have been on. Highly highly recommend - just make sure to show up hungry!
