Our guide Neuy Noi was very sweet snd took us to the main food markets around Vientiane. We learned about Lao food and specialty items and had dinner with the locals. Very interesting tour if you want to learn about Laos people and what type of foods they eat.

It was not as advertised, we did not get an opportunity to taste desserts. We did visit two separate night food areas and the guide's explanation of the more esoteric and unknown dishes was good. Having enjoyed an excellent food tour in Hanoi we found this one disappointing. We went to a restaurant for Pho which was ok, we've had better, which proved to be the highlight of the evening.

  • A lovely evening in Vientiane

Our guide, Noi, was lovely. She explained about the food and culture of Laos and shared a bit about herself and how becoming a tour guide had been a dream of hers now realized. A lovely way to spend a few hours, be acquainted with the many foods on offer in the markets and taste a few local dishes.
