What To Expect
Buddha Park
Buddha Park (Xieng Khuan) is an open-air sculpture park with giant sculptures of Buddha and Hindu deities. Located 25km southeast of Vientiane, the park was founded in 1958 by monk and sculpture artist, Bunleua Sulila.
Patuxay Monument
Patuxai is a war monument in the centre of Vientiane, Laos, built between 1957 and 1968. The Patuxai was dedicated to those who fought in the struggle for independence from France

5.00It was my first visit to Laos. I was very lucky to be assigned to Som as a guide who introduced me to the beauties of Vientiane in one day, explained a lot about history, country and people and was very helpful in implementing my other planned activities in Laos. Som was really an excellent guide, the best thing that could happen to me as a first time guest in this country. Anytime again!

5.00It was a great experience. Accompanied by my guide and a driver, I could quickly see the essentials of Vinciane and especially the Buddha Park a little distant. My guide also listened to my preferences for lunch and we ate in a small local restaurant with typical Lao cuisine. It was also a great time to discuss the culinary traditions of Laos.

5.00Bandith was an exceptionally good guide. He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and patient. The tour provided some really interesting insights into Vientiane, its culture and its history. The restaurant that Bandith recommended to us for lunch was in a delightful setting, and the food we had was tasty. All in all, a day well spent.

5.00to explore Laos, i feel it is beneficial to have a local tour guide who knows the history and is excited to share for tourists and people with interest. Toy, my guide, was amazing. very insightful and detailed in his story-telling. it made for an amazing day.

5.00I love the day I spent with Chansay seeing many of the spiritually and culturally significant sights in Vientiane. It was New Year's Day and we had an early start so it meant we missed the crowds at Buddha Park which was great. Chansay was very friendly and knowledgeable about Vientiane, it's history and about Laos and its people in general. His English is very good and he's very accommodating for changing up the schedule. I had already seen one of the sights on the itinerary so we skipped that one and added in a couple of extra temples not listed. Some of Vientiane's key sights require some kind of transport to get to, and even walkable sights are spread fairly far apart in Vientiane, so it was definitely worth doing a tour with a driver. I felt very well looked after and I would highly recommend this tour.

5.00Som is an incredible tour guide. He is soft spoken but also incredibly friendly and passionate about his job. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the culture and loves to educate people about it. What I also appreciate is that as a solo traveler he is more then willing to take pictures of you!

5.00Absolutely loved our Vientiane highlights tour with our guide (Chan) and driver (Ki). Everything went to plan from previous conversations / messages before the tour commenced, to pick up at hotel to dropping us off. Chan was very knowledgeable and passionate about the sites & Laos. Also has a very good sense of humour. Nothing was to much trouble, never felt rushed either. Highlight of the tour for us was the Buddha Park. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend.
