Learn to think (and drink!) like a Viking on this unforgettable 3-hour walking tour through Poulsbo—affectionately known as “Little Norway.” This lively experience blends craft beverages, local history, and a dash of Norse spirit into one adventure. You’ll sample four drinks while visiting three local favorites: The Sip, Western Red Brewing, and Valhöll Brewing.
Start at The Sip with their interactive “pour your own sip” experience, then head to Western Red Brewing for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the brewhouse, where you’ll see how their bold beers are crafted.
Finally, visit Valhöll Brewing, where you’ll raise your glass for a ceremonial toast from a 4-liter Scandinavian longhorn. Along the way, take in Viking history, Norse mythology and daily life, and tales of Poulsbo’s Nordic roots.
It’s a spirited journey through culture, craft drinks, and community, perfect for curious explorers and beer lovers alike.

Slippery Pig Brewery
Guests will meet their Adventure Guide (identified with a nametag, awaiting you at your reserved section, and holding a Viking drinking horn) at 'The Sip' (formerly the 'Slippery Pig'). The Sip has 36 rotating taps of wine, beer, cider & craft soda that you will have access to on a pre-loaded $12 beverage card. Pour and choose your own! Your PNW Skald (Viking storyteller!) will explain how the taps work and set the stage for the tour: a bit about Poulsbo and a lot about Viking History! Learn how to think (and drink) like a Viking!
Poulsbo
Learn about some of Poulsbo's most iconic sites (like the oldest structure in town, the Hostmark Building or downtown's charming Red Phone Booth) as you travel from The Sip to Western Red Brewing.
Guests receive 4 beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic): a prepaid card for use at the Sip, one pint at Western Red, one pint at Valholl, and a "pull" from a Viking longhorn.

Kyle is an excellent guide, weaving the Nordic/Viking traditions into stories that included the Poulsbo community. Our choice of beverage met everyone's needs within our group. It was educational as well as enriching our trip to the area. I highly recommend this tour. My next tour with this company will be in a kayak this summer to see seals.

This was a next level brewery tour experience! Our guide Kyle filled our time with great stories and and laughs. I never knew I was into viking history, but I am now! This tour was a good value and the perfect experience to treat our friend visiting from out of town. The tour even had a few unadvertised surprises. This is an easy 5 out of 5.

We had a fantastic experience with our tour guide Kyle! We learned so much about Poulsbo and Viking history while enjoying some great locations, seeing behind the scenes at a local microbrewery, and drinking delicious beer. We went for a special occasion (birthday), and this tour was the highlight of our trip! Truly could not recommend this tour more. We are planning to put this tour on our list of awesome things to do when we have friends/family in town!

This tour was such a highlight of our Seattle trip! Poulsbo is already an amazing town, but doing the Viking Brewery Tour really gave us the full flavor of it. Kyle was the perfect guide — super knowledgeable, funny, and full of great history tidbits and fun facts. He even took awesome pictures of our group, which we really appreciated. What makes this tour stand out is how unique it feels. You get a true sense of the town’s history and Nordic roots while also enjoying plenty of generous drinks along the way. We left feeling like we had discovered a hidden gem. If you’re visiting the Seattle area, this is a not-to-miss activity. Between the history, the beer, and Kyle’s energy, it’s the best way to experience “Little Norway.” Highly recommend!
