If you are looking to get away from everything this moderated difficulty trek is definitely the excursion for you.
It is a 7 hour Trek that takes you from the valley, through the fuegian forest until we pass the vegetation line and you are sullenly in a high mountain landscape until reaching the "Laguna de los Témpanos" and the Vinciguerra Glacier behind.
There are no words to describe the beauty of this landscapes!

Important! Dress Code required. Comfortable trekking shoes preferably waterproof. Waterproof jacket. Daily backpack with a spear pair of socks. Sunglasses and Sunblock is highly recommended.

What To Expect
Our tour will start when we pick you up at your hotel around 8:30 and drive 7 km inside the Andorra Valley. We will start trekking through a peat-land that has been exploited and we will have the chance to see all the layers of the peat bog very typical from valleys formed by glaciers. Our hike continues through the creek “Arrojo Grande”, once we cross it, we will start heading up hill through the magical fuegian forest. Half way up we will find once again peat bogs all around us in a higher small valley. We will keep walking crossing the timberline where we will finally find the Tempanos Lagoon and behind the Vinciguerra Glacier with its ice caves. Depending on the ice conditions the expert mountain guide will decide if it is safe to approach the caves and walk a little bit on top of the ice. In this high mountain landscape we will rest a moment and enjoy our lunch box with some hot beverages. Keep you eyes wide ope and look up... if you are very lucky you may see the king of the Andes... The Condor! Around 2 pm we will slowly start our way back down hill. Beaver dams will be find all along the trail, keep your eye open, we may be lucky enough and see one!

5.00This experience was beautiful from start to finish. Marcos, the guide, kindly accompanied us throughout providing explanations of the place. The trail to the glacier did so at a slow but sustained pace, respecting the times of each visitor and being attentive to every detail. The agency gave me free gloves and a backpack because mine wasn't right for the experience. Ulysses took us and brought us to the entrance to the reserve, and on the return he waited with mate and bills for the return trip to the accommodations, as we were soaked and very cold because it rained during the ascent and descent to the glacier. The experience of seeing the glacier and walking on it, is unforgettable. Thanks to the TDF adventure team, total geniuses!!! It was my first trek of difficulty and I was encouraged at all times to do it and happily concrete it. Guaranteed timeliness and experience!

5.00Would highly recommend this activity. We had a small group of 7 people who all hiked at the same pace. Mica was very knowledgeable and a fantastic guide. We had beautiful weather and had amazing views of the scenery. The ice trekking was an unexpected bonus. Highly recommend this trip!

5.00What a hike. It was very demanding, steep, muddy and slippery. Our guide Diego is quiet but competent, he guided us through some very difficult terrain. When we got to the glacier, it was one of these "wow" moments, we literally stood on top of it and inside it (ice caves). Diego then cooked us a hot lunch (he carried everything up), it was delicious. The only suggestion I have is more water to be provided, we each got one bottle and it was not enough.

5.00This was the only trekking in my trip that I hired someone to get me there. It was a wise decision. Different from other trails, Vinciguerra is not an easy access point and the trail is not well marked. That said, the trekking is simply amazing. You will probably see an iced lake, lots of snow, and the felling of getting in the top of Vinciguerra is impossible to describe. Just getting there you will know. Worths every penny spent! Did the tour with the guys of Brasileiros em Ushuaia.

5.00We did the trekking with agency Tolkeyen Patagonia, the same had snack included. The trail is amazing, the day we went ended up snowing even being summer and managed to get even more beautiful. The trail is very tight so it is good to have certain physical preparation, more can be done if you have the disposition, it was very cold the day we went and the tour lasts all day. We paid 2500 pesos.
