What a day! We went to three great wineries and a fantastic guide who shared the history of the region and the wines we were drinking. Really loved Gurbuz winery and got to try a few samples straight from the bottle. We would definitely recommend for any wine lovers.

That was a fantastic wine trip. We met very passionate wine makers at Gubuz and Nuzun, tried very interesting wines from them. And discovered something new - at Gubuz we did comparative tasting of same wine aged in different barrels (American vs French vs Hungarian). That was very exciting and educational. The only let down was Arcadia Vineyard as the staff there were almost unhappy to present thier wines. But the restaurant there was good. Aysenur is a fantastic guide so she helped to manage it the best way possible.

Had a wonderful full day of wine tasting in the countryside of Thrace. Met some wonderfully passionate wine producers and tried some extraordinary wines. We love trying wine in new places and Turkiya did not disappoint. Goda was a wonderful guide and host. I would definitely recommend this if you enjoy wine.

Goda of Vines and Pearls is a most excellent tour guide. Always attentive to our preferences, needs, and extremely knowledgeable about Turkish history and winemaking, Goda and her driver made our tour memorable, relaxing, and very satisfying. Goda selected a variety of high-quality vineyards and winemaking experiences for us that enhanced our knowledge of winemaking, wine varieties, and tasting experiences. A bonus opportunity included a night's stay at a beautiful winery complete with dinner, breakfast, and delicious wines. Goda's good humor, friendliness, and empathetic nature provided a welcome personal touch to the tour experience. We highly recommend Goda's Wineries Tour from Istanbul along with any opportunity to become familiar with Goda and her business.

We book a 2 day wine tour from Istanbul through the Thrace region to explore and experience the Turkish wines from that area. Our guide, Goda, did a fantastic job of arranging an excellent itinerary that allowed us to visit four wineries, all very different and each one excellent. Each winery offered us multiple wines to experience, accompanied by delicious tasting platters. We throughly enjoyed talking with the winemakers at each wineries and we learned SO MUCH we never knew about Turkish wines. It was an absolutely fascinating tour, and delicious. But even more, a huge part of the enjoyment we had was our fabulous guide, Goda. She is has extensive knowledge about Turkish wines and many other topics as well, and most notably, she is so easy to spend time with because she is warm, open, engaging and genuine. We truly cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed our tour with Goda. We highly recommend her and her tours!

Doga and Sinan were fantastic - we had a lovely day on the Thrace Wine Route and were able to visit three special wineries and have a lovely lunch. The rain didn’t stop us from taking some fantastic photos and we couldn’t help but buy bottles from each of the three wineries to take home. Highly recommended!

The trip is amazing! Our guide took us to 3 different wineries outside Istanbul: visiting the vineyard, seeing the wine grapes, visiting the tanks and barrels used to make wine... and most importantly the wine tasting! Turkish wines are much better than what I expected. Apart from the more well known grape varieties such as syrah or cabernet sauvignon they also make wines using local grapes such as kalecik karasi - something u don't get to find easily outside of turkey. And of course we got a few bottles home as well haha! And the lunch at one of the winery is great. Seated at a table with a view over the vineyard, we enjoyed local delicacies with a nice glass of wine 🍷 If you visit Turkey and you like wine, join this tour. You will not regret it.

As a solo traveler this was a fantastic experience. The tour began being picked in Istanbul, there Goda greeted the group and made sure we were all comfortable for the ride in a car equipped with AC and enough of water - super important on a hot summer day! During the ride the very knowledgeable sommelier Andrea talked about the area we were exploring and gave us insight into what’s to come. At the first winery, the owner Akin welcomed us and we started with a tour of the winery. His enthusiasm for his wines really makes this stop special. I could spend days there just talking to him about his winery and the process. We had a wine tasting with 8 different types of wines and then to top it off a barrel tasting with a quiz at the end! Next winery was Arda, there we started with a three course lunch accompanied with wine. I had a steak as a main course and it was perfectly cooked to my liking, and I can be picky about that. After lunch we had a winery tour and tasting. The scenery over the wine yard is amazing! All the wines I tasted were so good that I ended up buying as much wine as I am allowed to bring back into the EU. My bag ended up being a bit overweight on my way back home but now on colder evenings here in Sweden I can have a sip of rosé and think about memories of this tour and warmer days ❤️ Thank you Goda and Andrea for making the tour extra special and I didn’t feel alone even though I attended the tour as a solo traveler ❤️

So nice to be able to visit wineries on a day trip from Istanbul! A group of friends and I visited two wineries on this trip where we got to hear directly from the winemakers at Gurbuz and Arda vineyards. We did tours of the process at both and had a lovely lunch at Arda before our tasting. And of course we tasted our way through the wines with Turkish wine expert, Andrea (I mean, she literally wrote the book!) Our transport and reservations were handled through Goda with Vines & Pearls so we could just sit back and enjoy the day. Having the air-conditioned van was also convenient for those of us who purchased wines to take home! It’s a long day, though i loved watching the beautiful fields of sunflowers we passed on the way there and back. You might even wish (like I did!) to be spending the night at one of the wineries to add a second day to visit more of them. :) I’ve taken lots of notes and hope to get back for another visit ASAP. Thank you Vines & Pearls!
