KIERAN WILL MEET YOU OUTSIDE THE COBH HERITAGE CENTRE, WHERE THE TOUR WILL COMMENCE AT THE FIRST OF THE 16 SITES THE "AUD", THE ANCHOR OF THE GERMAN ARMS SHIP WHICH WAS SCUTTLED AND SANK NEAR THE MOUTH OF CORK HARBOUR in 1916. KIERAN WILL BRING TO LIFE THE HISTORY AS THOUGH YOU WERE THERE TAKING PART OF THE AMBUSHES YOURSELF, FEEL THE PASSION, THE FEAR AND THE NERVE OF THE COBH VOLUNTEERS. BRING A CAMERA, A RAIN COAT AND UMBERELLA ( just in case) THE 90 MINUTE TOUR COMES TO AN END AT THE MAURTAINIA BAR, WHERE COMPLEMENTARY TEA/COFFEE IS OFFERED.

5.00Absolutely loved the Cobh Rebel Walking Tour! It was such an interesting and enjoyable way to see Cobh and really get a feel for its history. Kieran, our guide was fantastic — so knowledgeable, passionate, and full of great stories that brought the past to life. We learned so much and saw parts of Cobh we might have missed otherwise. A brilliant mix of history, local insight, and beautiful sights!

5.00This was wonderful! Our guide did a fantastic job weaving the history of Ireland and Cobh from the Famine through to the 20th century. We came away with a better understanding on significant event in Ireland's history, including the rise of the IRA and fight for Irish independence. You also get a wonderful walk around the town center, up towards the cathedral and down the deck of cards houses.

We learned a great deal of interesting things and recommend the tour to anyone who wants to learn more about the origins of the Irish resistance, whose impact is still visible today.
