Discover the cradle of Blanche Armagnac AOC, the armagnac that does not age in barrels. Created in Arton in 1985 under the brand name Fine Blanche®, Patrick de Montal demonstrates that the excellence of Armagnac depends on the know-how of the wine and that distillation brings out all the aromas of the wine. The Montal-Montesquiou family defends an innovative vision: Armagnac is not a brandy, it is part of the wine culture. This led the family to plant their vineyard in 1991 to raise their wine and their Armagnac. Everything, from the vine to the wine, from the wine to the Armagnac, must be made on the estate and in a way that best embodies Arton's terroir and know-how.

We are inspired by our ancestor d'Artagnan to innovate in Armagnac with courage and panache. In conversion to biodynamic and permaculture, our domain pursues the ambition of repositioning the Côtes de Gascogne on the chessboard of wines. Our dry white, sweet, red and rosé wines, born on the land of Armagnac, reveal with finesse all the typicity of our terroir and redefine the canons of Côtes de Gascogne. From the vineyard to the cellars, come and discover the secrets of their elaboration and follow our commitments as producers. After a guided tour of the estate, come and taste the Arton signature during a commented aperitif of our 7 PGI wines.

We were made aware of how difficult it can be to rebuild a brand. It was a lot of fun.

We opted for a tour with tasting. The tour lasted an hour and the tour guide spoke enthusiastically about the wine and spirits they make. He spoke good English so everything was easy to follow. The tasting was done at a beautiful location with tasty snacks and five types of wine. Afterwards you can buy wine yourself in the store for a nice price. All in all highly recommended!

Really enjoyable visit; thoroughly enjoyed the walk around the vineyard; hearing the history of the property from our friendly guide; learning about the distilling and environmental approach they are championing and the tasting of their wines and Armagnac.

The wines and Armagnac were amazing, the pairing of wines with local produce just perfect, Romain was an amazing host and the staff and owners were very welcoming. Please start selling the Armagnac glasses or tell us where we can buy them.

This oenological visit was really nice. The Didier guide is really passionate about his activity, and this is reflected in his explanations during the visit of the estate and the different vines. We also feel that the speech is not closed and that it is adapted according to the different questions you will ask. The tour ends in a charming room with a tasting of different wines (white, red and rosée) and armagnac accompanied by food to pair with the different wines. Our group recommends this tour, especially at this very affordable price.

A tour and proofing the way you hope it goes! A very nice story from the guide, without all the commercial information. The walk through the vineyards and a look in the cellar is of course included. Then we were surprised by the private tasting between the wine barrels. We were served 7 delicious wines and matching snacks. As an encore we were also allowed to taste the Armegnac. This is absolutely recommended!
