Our exciting trails will take you and your fellow adventurers on a journey through local farms, a rain forest, a pineapple plantation, along with a brief stop at a riverside restaurant. In addition, your ATV exploration will include crossing two flowing rivers.
After experiencing these adventures, we will stop at a local family-owned riverside cafe. During your visit, you will be able to purchase a quick snack & enjoy a local beverage or walk down to the rapids of the Rio Celeste river.
In addition to these experiences, you will ride through the most beatiful mountainsides within Cental America, along with having the opportunity of viewing the Rio Celeste farming community.

Individuals below the age of 17 will not be allowed to drive an ATV and needs to be accompanied by a licensed adult driver.
13% IVA & $15 per ATV rental with $1,000 collision damage insurance will be applied at signing of adventure agreement
Minimum passenger age: 7 years old driving with Adventure Host of Parent

What To Expect
IMPORTANT: Each ATV must have its own booking. If you will be requesting more than one ATV, please enter each type of ATV reservation separately, as a separate booking. Currently we can accommodate up to 9 individuals per group. A Spainish speaking local host will be provided for each adventure. You and your fellow explorers will partake on an exciting 2 - 2 1/2 hour adventure through-out the Volcano Tenorio / Rio Celeste beautiful region. You'll be riding on a new Honda 520cc tandem seat mountain ATV. Some of the possible sights & thrills you will experience is to ride through two rivers, see amazing Sloths, pairs of Toucans, lush rain-forest, explore a pineapple plantation and views that are breathtaking. Since we are in a rain-forest enviroment, please consider bringing the following items on your adventure; 1. Camera 2. Closed walking shoes / sneakers 3. Rain poncho 6. Dry bag 7. Sunscreen 8. 5.00The guide made this a perfect ATV tour experience for us and shared our excitement as we traveled through the many trails in the area. My kids and I were the only customers, so we had the guide to ourselves. He cut fresh pineapples for us until we couldn't eat any more. I felt they were upfront with the cost and it was a great value. We enjoyed 2.5 hours of ATV touring after completing the paperwork.

5.00This tour has everything. Awesome views, every kind of trail, lots of animals, professional service, pristine facilities. We rode in the rain, sun, and in between. Santiago was the best and we would definitely do it again.

5.00We went on an ATV ride with our three kids and all five of us were blown away. If you only have a short time in the region or even if you have longer and want to get to to know it quickly, there couldn’t be a better way to get to know the region. Our guide, Santiago, was fantastic—patiently showing us how to use the ATVs, pointing out sloths, monkeys, toucans, caymens, poisonous tree frogs and caterpillars, and teaching us everything from the inner workings of pineapple plantations and why the Rio Celeste is so blue to recommending his favorite local Soda (a small restaurant) where the food was delicious and affordable. 10 out of 10 from start to finish for this experience.

5.00Our family had an amazing experience on the 2.5-hour ATV tour with Costa Rica ATV and Horseback Adventures. Reserving our tour time through the website was simple, and check-in when we arrived was completely seamless. There were clean and accommodating restrooms onsite and we were provided with bottles of water for the ride. Our guide took us on a true rainforest adventure, leading us through incredible scenery and making sure we had plenty of opportunities to stop and capture photos along the way—including an amazing view of the Tenorio Volcano. The highlight was reaching a private spot where we were able to swim in the beautiful Río Celeste. Along the route, our guide also introduced us to a charming roadside vendor where we enjoyed fresh coconut and local snacks, and helped us capture an epic photo in front of one of the largest trees we’ve ever seen. It was an unforgettable experience and a perfect way for our family to explore the natural beauty of Costa Rica.

5.00This incredible adventure was so much more than we could have expected. It was so exciting, we viewed so many beautiful landmarks, plants, animals (howler monkeys, sloths, toucans, caimans, turtles) - the views were beyond incredible. Our tour guide Santiago was incredibly knowledgeable about everything, we learned so much about Costa Rica and the agriculture and animals. He got howler monkeys to call back to us by sounding exactly like one. I’ve never ridden an ATV before and felt like a pro by 15min in.
Do miss this region of Costa Rica, or this tour.

5.00There are many areas of Costa Rica that are stunning, however much of the tourist industry is focused on the Pacific Coast, and Arenal. While they are spectacular, missing the real Costa Rican experience around Tenorio is a mistake. This ATV Tour takes you through the rain forest region, the Rio Celeste Blue river which is stunning in the rainy season, but even more spectacular in the dry season when the deep blue returns. Being in the middle of a huge pineapple ranch, which produces over 1,000,000 pineapples per year, and eating fresh from the plant with the farmer teaching you all you ever need to know about the plant, fruit, and practices that make them so good to eat, is one not to be missed. Great team of people at this company, friendly, knowledgable, and ready to serve. Get to know the real Costa Rica whether on horseback or ATV. You will not regret it at all, and certainly have more stories to tell when you return home, than lying on a beach.

5.00Amazing experience!! We had a great time with our fantastic guide Luis!! Luis was very thorough in going thru the safety instructions and how to use the ATV, etc. From there, we had a fantastic tour of the local area including crossing rivers and visiting a pineapple plantation, along with spotting some great nature life including a howling monkey and blue-jean frog!! An experience we won't soon forget, amazing time!!
10/10 experience. Laura was amazing. Would do again next trip out to CR!

5.00We had such a good experience on the ATVs with Laura. Driving in CR can be very challenging but Bill was very helpful & was able to give us crystal clear instructions even from afar. Laura was the sweeetest guide. She met w us exactly where Bill said she would & was patient w us the entire tour. Throughout the tour as we would stop at different places & she would explain the history & culture behind it. We would recommend this excursion to anyone looking for the perfect combination between an exciting ATV adventure, sightseeing, & history/culture of the country. Thank you for such a great tour Laura!!! We will see you again!!

5.00This was super fun! The kids loved it. We got to see pineapplr fields, 2 volcanos, and the beautiful Rio Celeste river. We even stopped and took a dip in the majestic blue river! Highly recommend this adventure!
