5.00Spent the day with Yvonne doing a private full day Road to Hana tour. Met us at the designated location as scheduled for pickup. We had perfect weather! Yvonne was a great driver and knowledgeable about the Road to Hana. Stopped at Ho’okipa Lookout to watch surfers; a waterfall in a bamboo forest (surreal amongst the bamboo); rainbow eucalyptus trees; tasted strawberry guava fruit; Ke’anae Peninsula, a dramatic lava rock coastline; Wai’anapanapa State Park for the black sand beach and the lava tube. Pizza and salad at Hana Farms (highly recommend) and a stop at a cacao stand to learn about and sample Hawaiian chocolate. Loved our experience!
A Perfect Family Day on the Road to Hana

5.00We recently took a Road to Hana excursion (scheduled for April 10th, but went on the 11th) and had such a fantastic experience that I had to share. From the very beginning, the organizer (Dana, who I believe is also the owner) stood out. With all the national news about weather concerns leading up to our trip, I was honestly a bit nervous. About a week in advance, Dana sent an update reassuring us that the Road to Hana is open and beautiful rain or shine, which immediately put us at ease. We were able to flex around the weather, which I appreciate and know is not always possible. We decided to book a private driver so we could move at our own pace with our children, and I’m so glad we did. Our driver, Luke, was prompt, professional, and unbelievably patient with our very inquisitive five-year-old, who had a lot of questions. Luke answered everything with ease and shared so much knowledge about the area, the land, and local history, things we likely wouldn’t have experienced on a larger group tour. While we had the flexibility to stop wherever we wanted, Luke also curated a really well-balanced day for us, including beautiful beaches, great lunch spots, and fun treats along the way. One thing worth noting: the welcome email does mention motion sickness, and that’s definitely something to take seriously. I was concerned about my five-year-old, but we made it through the full Road to Hana and back before he started to feel uncomfortable. If you’re prone to car sickness, definitely plan ahead and follow their guidance. Overall, my family absolutely loved the beaches, waterfalls, and breathtaking views and we loved how easy and personalized the entire experience felt. Highly recommend!
Private Tour with Danielle for a family of four!

5.00Danielle brought the magic and expertise to Road of Hana. I opted not to rent a car and let my family relax while Danielle brought us to all the magical spots in road to Hana. Big kudos to also having the snacks stocked for my 9 and 13 year old. She was extremely sweet when my son got motion sickness and let him ride shot gun in the car. It is an extremely long ride but worth every memory we made. I am so thankful we had Danielle would book a hundred times with her!

5.00What a fabulous day!. Even though Maui was still recovering from the storms, we had a great tour with Guliano . He knew just where to take us to see the highlights of the road to Hana . I highly recommend doing a tour with Magic of Maui experiences!

5.00Our family of four had an amazing time on the Road to Hana tour! Giuliano was our tour guide and he was wonderful at keeping both my 14 year old and 8 year old son engaged and entertained. Not to mention my own limitations with a broken elbow. Giuliano helped us see turtles, a nearly private black sand beach, waterfalls and more! My older son especially enjoyed doing a banana bread comparison among vendors and my younger son loved getting to skip rocks & investigate the tide pools at the various stops along the way. Definitely money well spent and a memorable day for all!

5.00Nicole was an excellent guide. Even though we were just a few days after the terrible rains, she made sure we saw so many things. I can’t count the amazing views, let alone the turtles, trees, other plants and birds, and wonderful roadside stops. Definitely a must, especially if you are staying in a resort on the west side!

5.00Dana and the Magic of Maui Experience are simply the best! We came to Hawaii for the first time during a Kona Low, a very intense rainfall. We've been disappointed by so many closures and cancelations. While our Road to Hana tour was canceled due to closure, Dana and her team were so positive and helpful! She was able to suggest several interesting alternatives and helped us save the otherwise disappointing day. While the weather was beyond her control, we were offered a full refund. We are thrilled Maui is getting much needed train, and we are looking forward to returning in a drier season! We will absolutely book with the Magic of Maui Experience again!

5.00My husband and I got to experience the Magic of Maui tour for one of our honeymoon activities while here and we agree that it’s been our favorite of the entire trip! We highly enjoyed our whole day trip in a private vehicle that was stocked with drinks, snacks and other items. Our guide, Danielle, was extremely knowledgeable about the stops along the way to Hāna and even the ones that many tourists do not know. She did an amazing job tailoring our day to what we wanted to do and was a wealth of information! We loved getting to stop at the black sand beaches, waterfalls and pit stops along the way. Even in rainy weather, Danielle made the trip so memorable for us! We would absolutely rebook with Magic of Maui.

5.00We booked a private tour for my husband and I. Cheyenne was our driver. She shared many interesting facts along the way and took us to spots we surely would have missed without her expertise. Do not miss the Ride to Hana and book a private tour. Cheyenne stopped along the way at local vendors where we were able to purchase local goodies to take home. We enjoyed lunch at Hana Farms Road side stand…the pizza and salads were delicious. This was surely a day we will not forget. Many thanks Cheyenne!

5.00Magic of Maui tour was the most priceless experience I have ever had. Owner Dana took all care to listen to our needs and make sure we were well looked after. Danielle our driver was amazing and made our day so special. We wanted to spread our pets ashes somewhere but our cruise line said we couldn't bring them so I reached out to Dana and she said absolutely it would be our honor to receive them so we mailed them the week before. Our entire day as drove through all those beautiful sites we talked about our pets and laughed and joked all while knowing at the end of the road we would be sad but happy to leave them behind. Danielle took us to great cafes and we also stopped and ate amazing local foods along the road including poi mochi, fresh coconut, local made brittle and the very best pizza of my life from Hanna Fresh! We hugged the mamma rainbow tree, patted the local cats, hiked the bamboo forest, saw sooooo many waterfalls and so many turtles. When it came time to set our fur babies free we found the perfect spot and were greeted by an army of cats and given one of our ashes was Duke the cat we knew this was the perfect place for him to rest. Then we hiked down to the black sand and found a cave for Bootsie and Joey to be set free as the waves came in and took them out. Danielle had brought rose leaves and she scattered them on the ground and played her sound bowl while we said a little prayer and said goodbye. We then ended the day swimming in a waterfall we had to ourselves. Danielle took incredible photos all day and boy they were amazing. Such special memories. We laughed, we cried, we lived, we loved and we left having made a friend for life and having reveled in the beauty and spiritual vibrance of this stunning island. Magic of Maui made sure this nervous passenger handled those curves without a single second of anxiety. Absolutely worth the money for a priceless experience. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts - Ajay, Kai, Boostie, Joey and Duke. Mahalo.
