I had an excellent guide called Josophia via Congo Local Guides which is run by Christian who is very helpful, friendly and very quick to respond. His guide was extremely professional and explained every spot that we visited within Goma very well. He also gave me great knowledge on various aspects about Goma and Congo in general from cultural, political and historical points and he made the tour extremely interesting for me . I find him very approachable as well to ask the most basic questions which made the tour enjoyable Anyone can walk around in Goma by themselves ,but the place becomes a lot more interesting when a good guide shares many stories and facts that cannot easily be found on the Internet. I highly recommend him !

Congo Local Guides were incredible from the beginning! Christian, our guide, was readily contactable on Whatsapp and communicating well throughout. On the day, he was at the border at our chosen time to greet us and he was a fantastic help translating and communicating with different border agents to ensure that the process went smoothly and swiftly. Christian was very flexible and was able to provide a suitable car and driver to suit our itinerary, while also acting as a tour guide as well. Our tour was customised, to include sites and places that we already knew about that we wanted to see, as well as some of his own suggestions. One of the highlights that Christian suggested was a visit to Turunga village towards the North of Goma where we could see the hardened lava from previous Nyiragongo volcanic eruptions, and were able to stop on top of a hill and take photographs with an incredible panoramic view of the city and airport, as well as taking a quick visit inside a hidden cave. Christian was incredibly helpful taking photos of our group throughout the day, and giving us different information about the social life and history of Goma as well. It was clear that he was very passionate about the city and his work, and was eager for tourists to see and enjoy all of the positive things that the city has to offer. For a reliable, professional service, as well as a safe and fun way to see Goma city, Congo Local Guides is definitely the best to consider!
