What To Expect
We will start our adventure by discovering Tirana, the capital of Albania. Meet with your local companion at our office in Tirana.
Postbllok - Checkpoint Monument
Our first stop will be Postblloku (Checkpoint), a powerful memorial to Albania's communist-era isolation. Located on the main boulevard opposite the government building, this site honors the political prisoners who suffered under the oppressive regime

5.00A must-do on your tour to Tirana. It sets the scene for the history of the country and her people. Hera was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. I got a private tour for the price of a group tour.

5.00We had a fantastic walking tour with Gjergji, who shared the history of Albania with so much passion and knowledge. His explanations were clear, detailed, and truly engaging. We learned a lot about the mosque, the Orthodox church, and the different buildings we passed, all enriched with fascinating historical context. He even made a special little detour to show us the street sculpture of the musical staff and treble clef, which was such a thoughtful and unique detail. The tour was so interesting that it inspired us to visit Bunk’Art 2 and the House of Leaves the following day. I would warmly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tirana.

He knew the history and gave us a good sense of Albania's past as well as more recent events, architecture and religion. He tied together the many philosophies and cultures in a way that gave great perspective for the sites we visited
