What To Expect
We will start our adventure by discovering Tirana, the capital of Albania. Meet with your local companion at our office in Tirana.
Postbllok - Checkpoint Monument
Our first stop will be Postblloku (Checkpoint), a powerful memorial to Albania's communist-era isolation. Located on the main boulevard opposite the government building, this site honors the political prisoners who suffered under the oppressive regime

5.00I had the pleasure of being shown round Tirana by Angelo. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We toured around the main sites of Tirana, talked about the history of Albania through from the Ottoman Empire, Communism to modern day. Would recommend.

5.00Markel our guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the 2 hour tour very informative about the history and culture of Albania. He was passionate about his country and would not want to live anywhere else he said. My son Harry and I came away knowing so much more of this lovely country.

5.00Our tour guide Gjergj was incredibly knowledgeable, he was friendly and I was impressed at how many languages he spoke and his depth of knowledge. He conducted the tour in both French and English to accommodate us all who were present. I was so impressed how he was able to deliver effectively the historical meaning and information about the places we visited. I left feeling like I know more about Albania and since this was my first visit and first activity I will say it was a great start.
