  • Highlight of our Tromso vacation!

Had a blast on this tour with Karin! She is such a wonderful host, and made us feel right at home. This was our second northern lights tour of the week. The first tour was the classic experience of driving out about 2 hours to a field and waiting around a fire for 3-4 hours to see the lights. Even with the fire, being out in the open for that long made the trip quite uncomfortable. BUT with this trip, Karin took us to an adorable, warm private cabin with seating, a restroom, food and a fire. We were able to go out to see the AMAZING lights and then go back inside to warm up at any time. She also took us sledding on the nearby hill, which was such a treat! Also, Karin took many amazing photos with her professional camera for us. Looking back, I would have booked two tours with Karin instead of the classic tour that take you to the fields. She has thought of everything. This tour was the highlight of our trip to Tromso!

An absolutely magical experience! From the very beginning, Karin was attentive, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the weather and the best viewing spots. It was a real and perfect aurora huntig experience and when the northern lights funally appeared, it was unforgetable! Karin shared fascinating facts, captured amazing photos, brought us food and drinks, and always made sure we were warm and comfortable. Truly one of the most luckiest and special nights of our lifes. I highly recomend to have this experience with Karin!

Karin and Geir-Oskar made sure we all had a perfect hunt for the Northern Lights. There was a fantastic atmosphere and we were so involved in the hunt. Although the weather was definitely not with us, Karin managed to find the northern light between openings in the clouds. Fun in the cabin with fire, grill, homemade bread and other delights made the experience very special, before the hunt for Nordlys continued. If you want to hunt Nordlys and wish for good atmosphere and good stories from someone who knows Tromsø and the area out and in - then I would love to "hunt" with Karin!

! Karin is the best person to go chasing the Northern Lights with — you can feel how passionate she is about what she does! She made the whole experience unforgettable, from finding the perfect spot to taking beautiful photos and sharing her knowledge about the Arctic sky. She’s warm, funny, and genuinely cares that everyone has a great time. It was truly an exceptional experience — I super recommend her!!!!! 🩷🩷🩷🩷

  • Great start to Northen lights

We had a very good start to the evening with great show of Northern lights right from the start. Karin showed us another place where we took some more pictures. She then drove us to her shed - but then the lights were gone as clouds started to appear - whilst hindsight is always perfect - felt as though we could be captured more if we stayed nearby and try different spots then when activity was high rather than driving 1 hr to the shed and then the activity died down, which was a bummer. The shed was very nice though, and appreciate the cosyness.

  • One of the best nights of my life

I went on a Northern Night tour with Karim and the night couldn't have been any better. It was an 8 person group and I was travelling on my own, but the group atmosphere was warm and chatty. First of all, my tour was booked for Saturday night, and two days before Karim wrote to me to offer me to change the date to Friday, as both the weather and the aurora chances were going to be better. I luckily was able to change it and the night started with some huge auroras just as we were driving out of Tromso. Karim knew of a spot with less light pollution along the way and we could enjoy the lights for quite some time. Karim took photos of all of us with her camera (thank you!) and we explored the area as the lights were changing locations. It was great. Once the lights were dimmer we headed towards Hillesøy, where Karim had booked a cabin for us to get warm and have dinner. She told us that depending on the weather forecast she either goes to her own cabin or rents one (she has a couple different locations). We were able to see the lights once again when we arrived and she was checking for them throughout the way too, just in case they got stronger so we would stop. The cabin was very cozy. She lit a fire that quickly made the place warm and she took a big variety of food out for dinner: sausages, cheese, sauces, home made jam, marshmallows, etc. There was plenty of food for all of us. She even brought home made wine, it was delicious! Besides, I asked her a couple weeks before the tour about the availability of gluten free food in case I had to bring gluten free bread (I'm a gluten intolerant) and she told me she'd buy the bread herself, which I highly appreciated. During this time we went out of the cabin a couple times to see if the lights had came out again, which they did but in a fainter way. The strongest ones were the first ones. After having dinner and since the sky got cloudy, we headed back to Tromso and she left each of us at our accommodation (another guest and I were in Tromsdalen and she even took us all the way there). All in all, this tour offered me one of the best nights of my life. I'm so glad I decided to take this instead of a bigger bus tour, as the van could go to places where buses can't and as the atmosphere and the dinner made the whole night even more worth it. Thank you, Karim! Tusen takk!

  • Perfect Northern Lights Tour

My wife and I did two Northern Lights tours in Tromso from two different companies last week. This was by far the better of the two. It was more personal (smaller group), had more stops to watch the lights (more variety in photos), and included a visit to a heated cabin where there was a wide spread of Norwegian delicacies (some of which were homemade by the owner) for a perfect bbq. On top of that, the tour was more affordable and we reached back to our hotel sooner. Karin’s tour is simply perfect!
