What makes us unique is the fact that we are the only tour guides that operate in this area of El Yunque. We only do small groups in small vehicles. No huge 14-28 passenger busses. This tour visits a hidden, remote and “secret” part of El Yunque. This tour DOES NOT go to the “slides." This isn’t a touristy spot and you cannot find these places on your own. We almost certainly will be the only people in the area. This day trip is guaranteed to be the highlight of your entire stay in the island. Come with us to explore an off-the-beaten path trail. This hike is to areas in El Yunque that are quite virgin, meaning that human interaction in the area is minimal. El Yunque is a unique ecosystem, quite different from any other areas. The area is also rich in history, which you will learn on the drive. The drive is breathtakingly beautiful and the rainforest even more so. This tour includes river crossings, blue pools of pristine water, cliff jumping and adventure for all. Don't miss out!

El Yunque National Forest
We will meet in Condado and proceed to drive into the Heart of the island to El Yunque Rainforest. After about one hour we will arrive at the most pristine, beautiful and enchanting forest you've ever seen. Surrounded by tropical forest, the Espiritu Santo River snakes its way through the valley. We will proceed to follow the river for about an hour. There are plenty of natural swimming pools along the way where we can stop. When we reach the end of our hike, you will find yourself immersed in nature, totally at peace with your surroundings. At the end we reach a waterfall that deposits into a very large pool. Good physical condition is required for this hike.

Super friendly guide and nice quiet area. Not as much of a hike, more of a rock scramble and swim, but really fun for both kids and adults

Hazel was absolutely the best! He fed my knowledge for local plants and animals throughout the experience. Due to heavy rains causing flooding in some areas- our experience had to pivot AND Hazel did not disappoint. (For a LGBTQ+ couple, this experience felt safe and welcoming!) Very happy with this experience!

We had an absolutely amazing time during this trip! We knew that we wanted to do something in El Yunque, and had a hard time choosing the best possible activity due to the short duration of our stay – but this one was a great choice. We stayed off the main track. We were a small group (just the two of us and another couple). We were away from the typical tourist spots and Sarah took us on a real hike through the jungle. The route wasn't super easy, so this is definitely an activity for people who are reasonably physically fit. Also, one important thing to note – Sarah had mentioned beforehand that "it might be wet", but we might have underestimated that, as we were walking directly through water with our clothes on. I didn't take any clothes to change into (as I said – I thought I might get a little damp or catch a shower, not that I'd be walking through water) so I definitely recommend that everyone bring a change of clothes and socks. Also, if you want to bring your camera, prepare some kind of waterproof case or bag for it, just to be safe. We loved all the waterfalls and pools we saw. Sarah was a great, caring guide and she had some snacks and water for us. I just wish we could spend there all day.... It was perfect and we'll never forget that trip!

We had a fantastic morning with Fabiola this morning! As we were a group of 5 we ended up being the only ones on the tour and had a great private experience. Loved getting to spend time in the more remote waterfalls by ourselves and avoid the crowds at spots like Coca falls. Fabiola was also kind enough to drop us off at the beach afterwards and offer some Viejo San Juan recommendations which we really appreciate. This is a great tour option to get the smaller group or private experience and see more remote parts of the rainforest. Just make sure your group is mobile/fit enough to climb rocks and slippery areas - worth it if you’re up for it!

My friends and I had a blast on our tour. Our guide, Sarah, was amazing! She made sure we all had a great time and were safe. We had so much fun swimming in the waterfalls and made some fantastic memories. I would definitely book again with Sarah.

Our guide , Sarah, was super amazing, extremely knowledgeable, and skillful with managing our group of four amigas on a stunning hike, climb up to multiple waterfalls! She tailored our adventure to our hiking skill levels and encouraged lots of fun, adventure and swimming! ( I personally am an active 66 year-old and the hike was perfect) The cave under the waterfall was breathtaking! We had Gawjus weather, with some rain only at the very end of the hike… perfect! Sarah carried great snacks and water for us which we enjoyed at the waterfall “beach”. Sarah spotted a hummingbird nest and an active bee hive on our hike back down and took some awesome pictures to share with us. We would absolutely recommend this adventure and ALL 4 of us would highly recommend that you ask for Sarah as your guide!

We had an awesome time on this tour with Kenyon our guide! He gave us lots of information about the rainforest and the ecology of the forest. We took two different hikes to beautiful areas and ended up swimming in the natural pool which was a thrill! Both hikes were medium difficulty and he made sure we never tripped and were safe. We loved the scenery and this tour made our trip. Kenyon is an amazing guide and we really felt like we were on an outing with a friend. Highly recommend!

The trip was nice but not exactly what I was expecting. From the write-up, I envisioned a hike of some distance to a waterfall where we would have the opportunity to swim in the pool of a waterfall. To be fair, there are a couple short hikes to waterfalls; however, the hikes are short (1/4 mile) and more like rock scrambles over very slippery rocks. The waterfalls are beautiful though and I did enjoy myself, it just wasn’t what I was expecting.
