What makes us unique is the fact that we are the only tour guides that operate in this area of El Yunque. We only do small groups in small vehicles. No huge 14-28 passenger busses. This tour visits a hidden, remote and “secret” part of El Yunque. This tour DOES NOT go to the “slides." This isn’t a touristy spot and you cannot find these places on your own. We almost certainly will be the only people in the area. This day trip is guaranteed to be the highlight of your entire stay in the island. Come with us to explore an off-the-beaten path trail. This hike is to areas in El Yunque that are quite virgin, meaning that human interaction in the area is minimal. El Yunque is a unique ecosystem, quite different from any other areas. The area is also rich in history, which you will learn on the drive. The drive is breathtakingly beautiful and the rainforest even more so. This tour includes river crossings, blue pools of pristine water, cliff jumping and adventure for all. Don't miss out!

What To Expect
El Yunque National Forest
We will meet in Condado and proceed to drive into the Heart of the island to El Yunque Rainforest. After about one hour we will arrive at the most pristine, beautiful and enchanting forest you've ever seen. Surrounded by tropical forest, the Espiritu Santo River snakes its way through the valley. We will proceed to follow the river for about an hour. There are plenty of natural swimming pools along the way where we can stop. When we reach the end of our hike, you will find yourself immersed in nature, totally at peace with your surroundings. At the end we reach a waterfall that deposits into a very large pool. Good physical condition is required for this hike.

Wet Boulders and Rock Hard Scramble:BEWARE

3.00The hike is not really a hike...its more of a climbing scramble over slippery rocks into cold pools and some murky creeks and waterfalls. Id give a 3 1/2 stars to be fair but theres no halves. Our guide was 5 Stars...he accomodated our level of ability to hard scramble on the wet rocks. The Trip Advisor description does say peopl 55 and older may be unable to do the hike (which seems like an arbitrary age) but eventhough it is a very difficult "hike" (it has a 4 or Very Difficult Trail Rating on All Trails) the Trip Advisor description and company should have it in plain sight in the first paragraph. One big disappointment was when I messaged the tour company the day before after reading that it was a "difficult hike" expressing my concern about this and asking what equipment we may need (THE TOUR COMPANY PROVIDES NO HELMETS, NO TRAINING) the company was very casual and just said to bring hiking shoes and water shoes. Spoiler Alert: You definitely want one or the other or some specialised water/hiking hybrid footwear as scrambling up these boulders and slimy rocks will get your head split open or a broken arm/leg. We could only manage an hour of the supposed 3 hour hike...so I insisted later they refund us half our money which they did without problem.

5.00Had an amazing time hiking through El Yunque National Forest! Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, and you could tell he truly grew up around the rainforest from the way he explained the history, nature, and hidden spots along the way. He took us to several beautiful areas deeper into the forest that we never would’ve found on our own, and he also took some really great photos for us throughout the hike. Such an authentic and memorable experience — highly recommend! 🌿💦📸

5.00My daughters and I loved this rainforest hike! It’s not for the faint of heart. At times, you’re literally climbing up steep hills, grabbing onto exposed tree roots, and making your way over rocks and streams. The small falls at the top was beautiful, and we enjoyed swimming in the cool freshwater pool. Our guide, Kenyon, was friendly, helpful, and taught us a little about the rainforest and our surroundings. We look forward to trying more excursions in the future.

5.00I had such an amazing time! This excursion takes you to beautiful waterfalls with not many people. Fabiola was such an amazing guide and shared a lot of information about Yunque. This was a special experience and a must do when visiting the main island.

5.00We had Sean as our tour guide and it was the best experience I have ever had on a tour. He was kind, knowledgeable, and really made sure we got the most out of the experience. It was just him, my fiancé, and I, and we explored the most beautiful scenery and had so much time to swim and take it all in. We also had great conversation. It was incredible.

5.00Hazel was absolutely the best! He fed my knowledge for local plants and animals throughout the experience. Due to heavy rains causing flooding in some areas- our experience had to pivot AND Hazel did not disappoint. (For a LGBTQ+ couple, this experience felt safe and welcoming!) Very happy with this experience!
