If you plan to visit between January 15 and April 15, we invite you to see these incredible mammals as they pass through the north of the island.
On this excursion, you'll discover why this animal, weighing more than 20 times as much as a car, migrates to Samana Bay...
We organize this excursion in small groups and in English.

What To Expect
Miches
Departure is around 7:00 am, arriving at Miches pier around 9:30 am. At the pier, breakfast will be served. After breakfast, it's time to set sail to observe the humpback whales for 2 hours to 3h30.
Miches
On some outings, the whales are very playful and offer us a show with all the tricks right from the start. In this case, after 2 hours of observation, when you've enjoyed the show, we head back to port. Sometimes the whales are shy and it takes a little longer to find a spot in the bay where you can observe them. In this case, our service provider will extend the time at sea so you can see these incredible mammals before returning to port. Back at the port of Miches, you'll stop for lunch at a small local restaurant. On the menu: a delicious, typically Dominican meal.

5.00Beautiful day! We loved whale watching and Montana Redonda. We saw many whales very close to our boat. It was particularly moving to see a couple of whales with their calf following our boat for long minutes. We loved it when the female went along the boat and turned her head to observe us. The captain of the boat was great, we stayed more than four hours at sea, frankly, it is an unforgettable memory.

5.00Honestly I was a little sketched out leaving the resort but I’m so glad we did this excursion! Everyone was super nice and we experienced so much more than we imagined! Definitely worth the money and time! The views were breathtaking and the whales were amazing too. Definitely recommend!

5.00Magnificent day with our guide José, smiling, joking and took great care of us. The day was MAGNIFICENT, it will remain forever in our memories, the skippers did everything to ensure that we saw the whales as close as possible. A good dinner at lunchtime and a breathtaking view afterwards. We recommend this outing in small groups. Other excursions are planned tomorrow (Santo Domingo) and Thursday, Saône, always with Dominican attitude

5.00A very big thank you to Dominican Attitude for this excursion to see the whales and the redonda mountain. Quality pick-up from our hotel in Bayahíbe to Samana Bay with a perfectly driving driver! We saw a multitude of whales thanks to the captain and his crew! A special thank you to our guide during this excursion (José) who was as professional as he was friendly and full of humor! He rightly loves his country and has endless knowledge about the Dominican Republic. We felt at home with impeccable supervision! Many thanks for this excursion!!!

5.00Amazing trip! The boat ride was so fun, the music matched the vibe so beautifully. We managed to see two whales on the trip, they said it was a low for them but you can never guarantee a wildlife viewing, so 2 was amazing for us! The team seemed like a big family, always joking with each other, dancing and singing. Lunch was absolutely delicious, getting a taste of dominican culture, AMAZING! And the trip up Montana Redonda, not having enough space in the big caravan so they got us a private escort in a very new Toyota truck. It was an absolutely breathtaking climb, and an even better view from the top! I would 100% go on this excursion again.
