What's hard to do with this review is to separate the tour operator (5 stars) with the actual whale watching (3 stars). I signed up for a group tour, but ended up with my own guide the whole time. She gave excellent service, from holding on to my belongings the whole time, to finding me a snorkeling guide (required) in the fish sanctuary on Sumilon Island, getting me on and off the correct boats at the correct time and even finding delicious buko juice when I needed the extra energy boost. Now, as to the whale watching portion, the whole atmosphere felt like I was going through a conveyor belt. My guide & I had gotten my ticket that morning. With the long wait, she decided we would go to Sumilon Island first. That worked out well, so that I didn't wait long to board an outrigger boat towards the whale sharks. A small boat is in the midst of the 8-10 outrigger boats and is tossing whale shark food into the water. This is what's attracting them to this specific area and allowing very close encounters with tourists (30 minutes). My expectation was very different. I thought we would go to Sumilon Island and if we saw whale sharks, we would stop and be able to be in the water (but not get too close to them; 100 yards is the law where I come from). I was conflicted about the whole process but I was told it was much worse before the government started regulating it, that the whale sharks were harassed and getting injured. I ended up participating and the closeness of the whale sharks was incredible (2 baby ones to start and 5 or 6 at the end), but I still wish for a natural, ethical experience.

Robin, our guide, was fluent in both Japanese and English and was attentive throughout the tour. They were very considerate of our luggage and our safety. Their bright and happy aura made our journey even better. If you experience it, you will see that the price is very affordable for quality.

I was molested by a male Filipino photographer. I was kicked in the groin with my legs in the sea and had my photographer's erect genitals rubbed off. Many times. The sea was rough that day, and the molestation was disgusting, and he pleaded with her to stop, but she would not let him back on board. After the tour, I reported it to my guide and asked to speak with the person in charge of Tabi Cebu. According to the guide, "Tabisev doesn't take responsibility," so we interviewed the local police and the beach manager in a private room. I left it to the local authorities to deal with the cameraman, and he will be suspended and trained, and he will be back. He said he would be fired if he reoffended. This one demanded a refund for the tour, but he said, "Tabi Seb doesn't take responsibility and it includes the amount of the driver..."'Oh, my God!' said the reluctant guide. They didn't seem to be on my side. I felt that they were quite reluctant to report to the Tabi Seb Secretariat. It was said that we would get a refund of only 1,000 pesos for entrance to the beach. We asked for 3,000 pesos, and at 2,500 pesos, the deal was concluded. I didn't really care about money, I wanted to contact the consulate, hire a lawyer and even write a statement to the local police. I had friends in my limited travel time and I didn't want to make it any harder. I only charged the amount because I was Japanese and I didn't want to be licked unless I sued. That's too cheap for the Japanese alimony market. I was wearing long sleeves and knee-length trousers on the day and dressed plainly so as not to be a target, but I was targeted. There are no reliable Japanese staff on site and there is no signal. Guides are not entirely on our side either. Please be careful. "The offender was also there for the interview, but he cried off, saying, "I didn't mean to do this, it was for safety.""" "I also pushed back, ""Did you not see your friend's safety?"" and he said, ""No evidence.""" It felt like a typical escape. You can't take evidence because you leave valuables such as smartphones with the guide. Please be careful who participates.

Cel and Efran were amazing they were very kind and helpful. Cel walked us through each experience holding our stuff and getting us started. The whale shark snorkeling tour is a must they are 5-7 meters in length and very close to us, with the water clarity it was breathtaking. Thank you both, Efran did a great job of getting us there and back safely:)

Loven the Guide (Robin) I'm glad you're good at Japanese and kind! The tour has been hectic. We also had a good video with whale sharks and had a great time! If you ever come back, it'll be a different tour. I want Robin to show me around♪

I joined Bohol Island Tour and Whale Shark & Sumilon Island Tour. Danny helped me on my Bohol Island tour. There were no other participants, just two people picked up at 4:30 in the morning. In very fluent Japanese, he taught us not only the tour contents but also trivia of Cebu. I really enjoyed having a lot of photos taken. I applied for a buggy or river cruise lunch with additional options, but it was shrewd and finished on time. Mr. Cellu helped me on my whale shark and Sumilon Island tour. I picked up at 3 a.m. with six female college students. The interior of the car didn't feel particularly small. Whale sharks were also available and I could watch them without waiting. We stopped by Sumilon Island and the church, and lunch was very good. They also took a lot of photos in their spare time. Both days the driver was the same, and the driver on Bohol was different. The roads are not well maintained, so we were able to sleep in the car with basic safety driving, although there were some tremors. If you are considering it, I recommend you to join us.

The guides were kind and the tour was a good memory. If you're on a whale shark tour, you can put a fin on it to dive deeper and take pictures more easily.
