If you have motion sickness, take caution; and if you don't have motion sickness: enjoy the journey...because I loved it!!

Great tour for seeing marine life. Keep in mind that you may or may not see anything. The tour staff were professional. They informed us of the safety precautions prior to departure, and were knowledgeable of the marine life that frequent the waters there year round.

Be extra prepared for unpleasant weather (even in early August) on the travel out to the whales because the waves sprayed water onto passengers sitting outside. It was cloudy and windy so having partially soaked pants made it more challenging to enjoy the experience. If you're prone to seasickness take precautions because the boat does move a lot. The deck hand stayed attentive to passengers' needs and was pleasant in his interactions. The captain was effective at navigating some rough water and keeping the side of the boat near the whales. Since everyone was on the left, he continued turning to keep us lined up. If you're expecting interactive staff that keep you entertained with fun facts or stories, this is not the tour for you. We were able to see a couple otters, many gulls and cormorants, humpbacks, and even one blue whale. We got exhilaratingly close to the humpback whales.

An amazing experience! The staff and Crew are amazing. Chris would come over and talk to us like normal people and we like that he recognized we were not from around Monterey, little did he know and anybody knows. Our mother is doing very bad with health-wise and this was on her bucket list and me and my brother took her out. It was an amazing time and an amazing experience and something we will always cherish.
