From October to March, Nazaré becomes the natural stage for the world’s biggest waves. On this boat trip, you’ll head straight to the heart of this phenomenon, exploring the place where the Atlantic reveals its true power and beauty.

Giant Waves – When the ocean is at its peak, witness the breathtaking walls of water breaking near the Nazaré Lighthouse.

Surfers in Action – On training days, watch elite surfers challenge the most feared waves on the planet.

Canyon & Village Interpretation – Even on calmer days, the experience is guaranteed: we’ll sail to the Canyon, share the science and stories behind the giant waves, and admire Nazaré’s coastline from the sea.

We were lucky enough to be only 2 on the boat. The attendants made the effort to speak in French and their explanations are perfectly understandable. Experience combining pleasure and knowledge. Thanks to our guides Isabel and Jorge.

We had the chance to leave just 2 on the boat with Jorge and Isabel to discover the formation of the giant waves of Nazaré....a pure happiness. After an explanation on land with the help of a model, we embark on a semi-rigid towards the canyon of Nazaré that we discover thanks to the sonars on board. Jorge and Isabel are not greedy with explanations and make the effort to speak French.... Then we approach the lighthouse, as close as possible to the formation of waves, stunning views of the city and the cliff. It shakes a little and on the way back we play a little with the waves..... Thank you for this amazing experience.

What a great experience! A magnificent view of Nazaré and guaranteed thrills. David is really adorable and funny, and the anecdotes he told us are a real plus. With family or friends, I strongly recommend atlantic safari.

An absolute experience in this great adventure. I recommend it 200%. Awesome!! Pure adrenaline. Mind you, a raincoat that's not missing. One of the best feelings I've ever experienced.

Crazy experience!!! We really felt the real power of the waves. Thanks to the pilot and his co-pilot, for even having us surf waves in boat! I would remember it for a long time... The pilot speaks fluent French, which made the experience even better than we could have imagined! Must recommend for a stay in Nazaré! We will certainly try the Jet Ski experience next time. Experienced during the XXL Swell 2020. Unique emotion and impeccable driving. I would do it again immediately, that moment in the ocean, being in the midst of so much natural energy is unforgettable.
Amazing experience. It's safe and definitely worths the price.

Amazing experience. I was in Nazaré for two days (Oct, 28th and 29th) 2020 to see the 2020 Big Swell. On the First day I decided to look at the waves a bit closer. It was amazing.David and Susy, Atlantic Safaris workers took us to the Canyon, explained very well how it works and, as a bonus, gave us two wave rides with the boat. Safety was very important. We all used life vests. I truly recommend this tour.
