A guided tour of an award winning whisky distillery. This experience includes guided tasting of four single malt whiskies, the unique experience of comparing exactly what goes into the barrel and what comes out side by side. samling some local cheese including a rind whisky wash cheese!

You will be invited to the still platfrom to get up close to the still, peer inside and savour the smells!

Run by the distiller and onwers themselves enables you to have access to a font of knowledge whiskt enjoying a fun history and story of not only Chiefs Son but of whisky itself.

You also get to use a thief to steal(!) some cask strength whisky from a barrel and as long as you dont spill any - you can fill a 100ml bottle to take away.

You'll get the chance to learn about Chief's Son Distillery's story & their unique flavour as you taste a range of their single malt whiskies. You'll get to pair your whisky with a range of delicious local cheeses, taste new make spirit & pure cask strength - a truly unique experience. Stewart is absolutely fantastic & his tour is very informative & interesting. Stewart is so passionate & very knowledgeable about his craft. He & his staff on hand made you feel so welcomed & Stewart’s personality was very entertaining. You weren’t just in number of a production line of taste testing. The premises are extremely clean & the atmosphere is great. Great morning, my husband couldn’t fault any of his whiskeys, all of very high standards. Would highly recommend.

A very pleasant and informative tour of a home grown whisky distillery. The host Stuart is a wealth of knowledge and give you a very good experience of how to enjoy the flavours of the whisky they produce.

The Chief's Son Distillery offers a fantastic experience that enriches the senses and explores the art of creating an award wining whisky. The owners offer a fantastic account of their personal journey, the challenges of production all while taking you through the subtle differences as part of the tasting of their signature whisky. Highly recommend this establishment on the Mornington Peninsula, it is well worth the visit.

Excellent informative overview of the history of Chief's son and the vodka brand as well as the processes involved in brewing both whisky (and vodka). Mr Makintosh is a craftsperson whether he likes to be known as one or not! Chief's son were also very generous with our tastings and the gift we got to take home. Thanks for a great Saturday morning
