What To Expect
The rafting session takes place on the River Dee in Llangollen. During your session you will raft down 4km of white water. Equipment is all included and transport to the get-in. What to bring with you:- - Trainers you don't mind getting wet (no beach shoes or open toes) - A pair of shorts to wear over your wetsuit (this helps prolong the life of our suits and for your comfort) - Swimwear for underneath your wetsuit - Towel

5.00Great experience suitable for family group. Felt safe but entertained the entire time. The guide Alfie was great fun with the perfect level of humour that was enjoyed by the youngest in our group (age 10) to the adults. Plenty of opportunities for getting wet, but all by choice. Good thick wetsuits provided. Highly recomend. Couldnt stop laughing and smiling all trip.

5.00This was our second White Water Rafting experience with Whitewater Active and was brilliant fun, even though there was not a lot of water running in the River Dee. The staff were efficient, polite and entertaining and were focused on making the experience fun. The facilities at the centre were excellent- showers, seperate changing rooms and a coffee/ tea shop. We will be back next year but for the Water Bug experience this time.

5.00Unbelievable day! We done rafting and then gorge walking later in the afternoon. Both activities were brilliant. I would highly recommend. The only bad part of the entire day was Rory’s choice of music in the mini bus. 😂 Thank you for a brilliant day guys. We can’t wait to come back.

5.00I had an absolutely incredible white water rafting experience in Llangollen! From start to finish, everything was brilliantly organised and the atmosphere was both exciting and welcoming. The instructors were fantastic—professional, knowledgeable, and full of energy. They made sure everyone felt safe and confident before we even hit the water, and their enthusiasm really added to the whole experience. Even if you’re a complete beginner, you’ll feel in good hands. The river itself was the perfect mix of adrenaline and fun. The rapids were thrilling without being overwhelming, and there were moments where we could just take in the beautiful Welsh scenery around us. It’s such a unique way to experience the area. What really stood out was how much fun the whole group had together—lots of laughs, a bit of friendly competition, and plenty of memorable moments. By the end, we were all buzzing and already talking about coming back. I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for an adventure, whether you’re with friends, family, or even a work group. Easily one of the highlights of my year!
