Your private chauffeur driver will be waiting for you at your hotel lobby in Dublin. We will depart Dublin and travel south to begin our journey into County Wicklow, passing through beautiful countryside in the Wicklow mountains most notably the Sugar Loaf Mountains while making our way towards Glendalough.

Glendalough Monastic Settlement

Glendalough - one of the most beautiful visitor sights in all of Ireland, is also known for the Braveheart wedding scenes. It's renowned for its magnificent scenery and rich and varied heritage in terms of history and archaeology. You will have time to explore the ruined monastic city famed for St. Kevin's Cross and its round tower dating back to the 10th century. We take time to take a leisurely stroll along the river banks through the woods to the magnificent lakes, waterfalls, and babbling brooks. Be sure to bring your camera! You will enjoy 1.5 hours at Glendalough.

We used James as our driver during a little over a week in Ireland, and he ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip. From the very beginning, James was thoughtful in helping us shape our itinerary—offering great suggestions while also making sure we had the flexibility to explore at our own pace. Along the way, he’d point out interesting sights and offer to take small detours that we never would have found on our own, making each day feel like a unique adventure. Having James drive us was a huge relief—it removed all the stress of navigating unfamiliar roads and let us truly relax and enjoy the journey. Beyond just being a great driver and planner, James was genuinely enjoyable to spend time with. He was easy to talk to, had a great sense of humor, and made every part of the trip feel comfortable and easy. He kept us on track, managed the logistics in the background, and somehow did it all while being totally flexible and accommodating. Thanks to James, our time in Ireland felt easy, immersive, and fun—just what a vacation should be. We couldn’t recommend him more highly.
