Friendly Welcoming by a young woman oenologist. Great attachment to family character and respect for nature. We tasted several wines and discussed the peculiarities. As advertised, a few local products accompanied the tasting and we spent a rewarding and very friendly time.

Yesterday, my husband and I visited the Polo Tolo winery that is approximately one hour from Chania. The winery is in the mountains surrounded by beautiful scenery. Our visit was hosted by one of the owners, Myrsini. We were blown away by her hospitality and knowledge about wine and wine making. During the visit, we tasted 5 local wines accompanied by tasty snacks (cheeses, dry fruits, bread, roasted kale, spinach pie, etc) that beautifully accompanied the wines. We also tasted their wonderful olive oil. She and her co-owners have created an incredible group of wines using indigenous grapes and organic and environmentally sustainable methods. During our tasting, we had an enjoyable conversation with Myrsini about her journey in wine making, the history of the winery and the sustainable methods that they use to create their beautiful wines. Overall, this was a fabulous experience and one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend a visit to the Polo Tolo winery!

I wholeheartedly recommend their wine tasting and guided vineyard tours; you'll savor the unique flavors of Crete like never before. This place is an absolute must for anyone seeking a heartwarming retreat! The people are incredibly polite and welcoming. Don't miss the chance to try "Agria Krasi," an authentically natural taste from their artisanal production. Hats off to these folks for promoting sustainability and supporting local, small-scale harvesting.

We visited Potolo a few days ago and we left with a very bright smile, as the whole experience was amazing! The setting is beautiful (and accessible !!). We were impressed by the hospitality and the knowledge that was offered, as well as the local tastes and of course the wine! Everything is made in harmony with nature and respect, something rare to find lately in a touristic place like Chania. If you are a wine lover (or not)and willing to experience something different in the middle of a beautiful landscape with unique people, that's the place to be. Thank you Potolo, we will be back for sure!
