Guide: You’ll be led by the winery founder and winemaker.
Experience Armenian winemaking at its most personal with a guided tasting and tour at Berkri Winery in the village of Yenokavan. Led by the founder and winemaker himself, your visit will begin with a walk through the winery and cellar, where you’ll learn how their small-batch wines are produced on-site using local grape varieties like Kangun, Karmrahyut, and Tigrani. Along the way, you'll hear the story of Berkri’s roots – how a family’s ancestral winemaking tradition in Western Armenia became a thriving guesthouse and winery. Then, you’ll enjoy a tasting of five wines: white, rosé, red, aged red, and grand reserve red – each with its own flavor and story. The wines are served alongside a generous spread of local bites, including a cheese plate, bruschettas, eggplant rolls, chicken sandwich rolls, two fresh salads, bread, and water. This is more than a tasting—it’s a warm, family-led experience that brings Armenian hospitality and heritage together in every glass.
