This turned out to be one of the most memorable highlights of my trip. I chose a samurai outfit, and from the moment I put it on, I felt completely immersed in the experience. Despite the warm weather, the outfit was surprisingly comfortable and easy to move around in, which made exploring the town even more enjoyable. The guide shared fascinating insights about Ashikaga’s history, its shrines, and its samurai culture, bringing the area to life in a very natural and engaging way. Walking through the streets dressed as a samurai definitely turned heads—in the best way. Many people kindly approached me to take photos together, which added a fun and interactive element to the day. It genuinely felt like being part of something, rather than just observing it. This experience wasn’t just about wearing a traditional outfit—it was about stepping into a piece of history, connecting with people, and seeing Ashikaga from a completely different perspective. If you’re visiting the area, I’d highly recommend trying this. It’s a unique and immersive way to experience Japanese culture—one that stays with you long after you leave.

Away from the crowded places with tourists, I was able to enjoy the history of Ashikaga, which is easy to reach from Tokyo, while enjoying it slowly. We were able to immerse ourselves in the history of Ashikaga, which established the Muromachi Shogunate, as if we had traveled back in time to a delicious Wagyu lunch, a walk on the cobblestones of a historic city with armored samurai. Even the breathtaking wisteria was sucked in by magic from the evening. I was able to enjoy Ashikaga all day. Thank you very much.
