I had an absolutely wonderful time on the Women in the British Museum tour. It was fabulously feminist from start to finish, shining a light on stories and treasures that too often remain hidden in plain sight. Our guide, Becky, was outstanding. Their depth of knowledge was remarkable, and the way they brought each object to life made the experience both enlightening and thoroughly engaging. Becky didn’t just present facts—they connected threads across history, highlighting women’s contributions with clarity, warmth, and passion. The tour was also just the right length: long enough to feel immersive and substantial, but never rushed or overwhelming. By the end, I felt genuinely inspired and eager to learn even more. I left feeling inspired, informed, and eager to learn even more. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough—whether you’re already interested in women’s history or simply want a fresh and compelling way to explore the British Museum.

I had expected to be shown a handful of artifacts with connections to women's history. What I received was an in-depth, incredibly well-rounded exploration of how women have contrubuted not only to making art, but to influencing and discovering antiquities. I think my favorite part was learning about the connection between women's history and chess. This tour truly altered my mind's eye. Loved it.

What an amazing tour thanks to the fabulous Matilda. This is one of the best tours I've done anywhere. Matilda took us on such a fascinating tour to trace women's history through some of the objects in the museum. She likes ked the stories together wonderfully well and had lots of supplemental information and pictures as well. It was such an interesting 2 hours and my head felt like it was going to pop with all the information I was trying to cram in. Matilda is an amazing guide so I felt very lucky to meet her and hear her stories. Fabulous

The British Museum is so large it can be overwhelming but, by focussing on women, this tour was a two hour fact-packed, informative, entertaining and enlightening experience where artefacts in different display cabinets were seamlessly linked in a way a casual visitor could never discover. We began in Mesopotamia, and moved through Egypt, Mexico, India, Greece, Italy and England. Each highlight was delivered with a passion for the subject and grounded in hours of research. This is the second tour/talk I have experienced with this company and each time I have come away bubbling with the infectious enthusiasm of our guide.

Becky was an absolutely phenomenal tour guide, and our group loved her. She’s very knowledgeable about all forms of history, and was open to answering any questions that we had. She made our group feel comfortable and safe to be able to learn more about the culture and history, but also made sure to make it enjoyable for all members. Becky kept all of us actively engaged, and her passion shined brightly throughout the tour. I highly recommend booking any of the tours with this group, as it’s clear they have a strong mission and goal to achieve with their work. This is a must do for anyone interested in learning more about the world they live in!

We are a group of old friends who like to meet up and spend time doing something together. We have now done 3 of Becky’s walks and have enjoyed them all. We chose this one as it sounded interesting and it was fascinating. We walked through the Museum and heard about exhibits that ordinarily we would have probably just glanced at. Becky is so knowledgeable and her dynamic story telling approach is totally absorbing! Thought provoking perspectives on women and stories that should be known more widely. Highly recommend these walks. Thanks Becky.
