• Lots of fun, animals, water, and a show

  We had a full day adventure here. They pick you up around 7am and then shuttle you to the park you have reserved. It was well organized. We had the VIP package and did not pay for any extra activities and had a full day. The ticket includes lockers to store your things. We decided to go along one of the rivers to start. They said there are 3, but only 2 were open the day we went. It takes about 45 minutes to move in the underground cave and there are ropes in some to help move along. The water is brisk and especially refreshing as the day gets hotter. There is an option to wear flippers and/or have them bring your items to the end if you want to change into clothes there (it’s about a 15-20 min walk end to end). There are plenty of options to jump out of the river early if you want. We carried our snorkels with us and did that right after the river (they also provide snorkels if you need them). I really enjoyed the snorkeling. Lots of fish. There are also small pools of water you can swim in along the coast or go the beach in this area. On our way to get lunch we viewed the turtles, stingrays, manatees, and sharks. There was a lot to see and a little psycho education. The meal is included with your ticket and it is for any of the buffets. Everyone raved online about the food but our meal was just fair. We ate at the Mexican restaurant at the entrance because they said there was a horse show but that was not going on at the time-just one man on a horse. We walked around to see the land animals. There are tons of animals and it is really a highlight. The only ones we could not spot were the jaguars. Acoatis and agoatis run all over the park. There are many birds and a butterfly exhibit. We took the other river back down to cool off and then went to see the dolphins. This is a fairly quiet area and you can swim in some areas with minimal people. We took the river again and ate dinner at an ala cart restaurant near the beach. The food was real good and way more cost effective then the buffets. We took the boat ride down the river which was fair. If you don’t have time for it, it is okay to skip it. The dinner during the show is really expensive so I’m glad we didn’t pay for that. The show was really good. Great singing and choreography. It doesn’t really start until 7pm even though they advertise it as 6pm. Drop off was very organized. I highly recommend this as a day trip.

  The park itself is amazing. Beach water, underground river, performers. The food was great-Veracruz Restaurant on the beach, the table was maybe 50 ft from the water. The night show is unforgettable, don’t recommend it for people who don’t wish to learn about the culture.

  It is absolutely amazing and it is a must when you are in this area of Mexico!! I recomand the to extra buy the photos package because is totally worth it! The lunch was super good, amazing food and the final show is realy waw!

  1. Pay the extra for the buffet to be included in ticket. I did not and had to purchase food and drink which was 10/10. Pack snacks its a loooooong day like 12 hours, to get to the show which is epic and not to be missed!! . Wifi is free. Pack bug spary sunscreen and waterproof phone holder. 100% recommended for kids and adults best trip in mexico.

  We had an amazing time. Everyone was so pleased and nice. We never had this experience in the USA. Everything was perfect. From the hotel pick up in the morning to the return to the hotel. We had a wonderful time. Thanks Xcaret family.
