  • A great day in Yala National Park

It is a long but scenic drive from Columbo to Yala, and our driver made the ride easy and informative. Thanks Vidu! The park ride is an adventure in open topped safari jeeps and can be dusty so bring along water and sunscreen. But the animals were great and though we did not find a leopard on our afternoon safari we saw allll the other things and lots of amazing birdlife. Vidu our driver was super accommodating of our schedule and turned lunch into dinner for us so we could get into the park quicker. Then took us to a great local place for hoppers on the way home, which made for an extra special experience. Definitely recommend this trip if you are wanting to see the wild life of Sri Lanka, and would recommend Vidu as a great driver. anytime you need to go anywhere!

A fantastic experience. Especially Roshan, the driver, who gave exceptional service. The drive was smooth, with comfortable seats, good air conditioning and excellent music during the journey. We had some extra time before the safari started so Roshan also stopped by a couple of temples and a picturesque lake so I could spend some time there. He also bought samosas for breakfast and some fruit for the drive back. We stopped at a restaurant for lunch which had a nice selection of local and international food. The safari itself was great - my safari guide managed to find a leopard within the first hour. It was an excellent day trip, highly recommend it!
