Sigiriya or Sinhagiri is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres high.
Dambulla Cave Temple
Dambulla cave temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country. This site is situated 148 kilometres east of Colombo and 72 kilometres north of Kandy. Dambulla is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka.

5.00It was well worth the long day! So many beautiful sights and experiences. Wasa was also very accommodating and thoughtful as our driver. Even though there was a payment issue he helped to correct it to ensure we didn’t overpay and that our tour went as smoothly as possible.

5.00Our driver Wasa was perfect. He took excellent care of us and got us back in time for our dinner reservations. It is a long day, more like 12-14 hrs if you want to do everything and depending how long you spend at the safari. It took some time to find the elephants so we decided to not hike up Sigiryia rock and the whole trip was 12.5hrs.

5.00What a great tour! We started early in the morning, but it was definitely worth it. I got the chance to visit some of the most spectacular sites in Sri Lanka in just one day. I was lucky enough to see a herd of elephants up close - they were so magnificent! Special thanks to the driver, Madu. His driving skills were impressive!
