Yala National Park, sprawling across southeast Sri Lanka, is a sanctuary where forests, grassland, and lagoons meet the Indian Ocean. This biodiverse haven is famed for its population of leopards, elephants, and crocodiles, alongside a spectacular array of bird species. Nestled within this natural splendour, Sithulpawwa stands out as a beacon of tranquillity, an ancient Buddhist monastery that whispers tales of a spiritual past.

The tour operator is a rip iff. As per the govt, Indian passport holders get a 20 percent discount on everything which means the price of the ticket entry and safari jeep seat which is 35 USD should be around 28 USD. I was asked for 32500 Sri Lankan rupees by the operator - trying to sell a full Jeep. I refused and returned without doing the ride. Please avoid the scam and don’t use this operator ever

Everything went really well! You should definitely do this tour. We got to see all the animals and the tour guide was super into it, which made it even better.
