Chongqing Chaotianmen

Settle in and get comfortable. You will board the ship between 5PM to 8PM. The ship will set sail at 9PM. You will experience the city’s brilliant skyline and iconic river views beyond boundaries. In case of flood season or dry season of the Yangtze River, for safety reasons, the MSA(Maritime safety administration) may not allow large cruise ships to stop at Chongqing Chaotianmen Port, and the boarding port will be changed to Fuling or Fengdu. The cruise company will arrange buses to transfer to either of the two places.

Fengdu Ghost City

With a long history of nearly 2,000 years, Fengdu Ghost City at the bank of Yangtze River is an interesting site for visitors who are looking to learn about the Chinese vision of the afterlife. This area is sacred to three different religions: Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. Revered as a place where the dead transition into another realm, it is surprisingly not dark or a cemetery like. Rather, the “Ghost City” is vibrant and colorful, although the local names are a bit scary. Here you will find “Nothing to Be Done Bridge,” “Ghost Torture Pass,” and “River of Blood.” Despite the names, Fengdu Ghost City is tranquil and spiritually uplifting.

Chongqing Shuanggui Mountain

The Shuanggui Mountain National Forest Park (also known as Luming Mountain) is located on the bank of the Yangtze River in the northwest of Fengdu County, Chongqing. Primeval forest, spectacular canyon, historic temples, fresh air and the ancient legends are somewhat the best gifts for visitors touring this place. This is an optional onshore trip. Shibaozhai Pagoda, or known as Shibaozhai Temple or Shibaozhai Tower, is settled on a small island in Zhongxian County, Chongqing. This 12-story elegant building leaning the hill has long been reputed as one of the gems of Chinese Architectures because of its extraordinary design without using any nail.

Zhong County

Feng Yan San Guo Show (Three Kingdom in Flames Show) is a large-scale landscape show taking the magnificent real Three Gorges as performing stage! It is a cultural show demonstrating the brilliant historical culture of the Three Kingdoms Period and the spirit of loyalty of great military officer Guan Yu! This is an optional onshore trip. Chongqing Baidi City

White Emperor City is not a real modern city, but a big island with rich historic relics. As legend goes that in 25 A.D., a man named Gong Sunshu saw white vapor in the shape of a dragon rising from a nearby well, and thus he declared himself the White Emperor and renamed the town White Emperor City. Chongqing Qutang Gorge

Today, your cruise ship will sail through the Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. Qutang Gorge, known for its magnificence, is only 8 kilometers long. Wu Gorge is 45 kilometers long, Noted for its deep and serene scenes, the Wu Gorge is full of zigzags, weird peaks, rising mists, and beautiful sights.

Small Three Gorges in Chongqing

Small Three Gorges is known as a resplendent pearl of the Three Gorges area. When weather and river condition allow, Yangtze River cruise travelers will have chance to experience a small sightseeing ship journey here. With the ship journey going deeper, you will get into a secret world that others may hard to go! In the time the 'Small Three Gorges' is unavailable one will visit the Shennv Stream Instead. Shennv Stream is also called Goddess Stream. As its name implies, there are interesting legends and stories! However, besides the legends, the natural scenery there is also extraordinary. During the shore excursion to explore Shennv Stream, you will also have chance to see the mysterious Hanging Coffins near the top of the hillsides.

Three Gorges Dam Project

As we disembark at Maoping Port in Xiling Gorge, we’ll be transferred to the Three Gorges Dam by coach. Here we’ll see one of modern China’s great achievements. The mile-wide dam is a stunning monument and an excursion allows you to see the project up close. We will arrive at the Yichang Sanxia Tourist Center (downtown area) around 12:30 pm after the Three Gorges Dam tour. Additional optional shore excursion (RMB298/Person) is available in the morning (river conditions permitting) to Three Gorge Dam ship-lift, and your arrival in Yichang would be around 1:30 pm.
