Zaanse Schans
First stop is the windmill village of Zaanse Schans, where you can admire still functioning windmills and typical wooden houses. You can also watch a clog maker at work, crafting the famous wooden shoes of the Netherlands.
Volendam
Next stop is in the typical fishing village Volendam. After an orientation guided walk with our live guide for 20 minutes, you'll have some free time to explore the city on your own.

A lovely experience of Holland outside of the usual Amsterdam

5.00Rick was one of the best tour guides I've experienced in a long while. He was informative, and knowledgeable, as well as giving the group an insight into the Dutch life and its peoples. While a long experience, we saw a lot, from cheese making and tasting, to clog making, a seaside village and all those windmills. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the day, and would highly recommended it.

5.00They took us to two quaint villages, one was on the water. Both were beautiful!!! So glad I got out of the city, saw the villages and learned about traditions, and saw how things were made. I wish we had more time everywhere because we didn’t want to leave. Great choice for a few hours if you are in Amsterdam.

5.00A day to see the old ways and traditions of Amsterdam. A wonderful in sight to the past. Rick our guide is a real character complete with animal noises! Take note to enter the windmills has a fee around 7 euros. But still a great experience. Volendam village was very relaxing lunch break. Enjoy.
